Cranial Morphology of the Carboniferous-Permian Tetrapod Brachydectes newberryi (Lepospondyli, Lysorophia): New Data from µCT. [PDF]
Lysorophians are a group of early tetrapods with extremely elongate trunks, reduced limbs, and highly reduced skulls. Since the first discovery of this group, general similarities in outward appearance between lysorophians and some modern lissamphibian ...

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

This manuscript assesses a semi-analytical method in connection with a new hybrid fuzzy integral transform and the Adomian decomposition method via the notion of fuzziness known as the Elzaki Adomian decomposition method (briefly, EADM). Moreover, we use

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Partial orders generalizing the weak order on Coxeter groups
Taking a Coxeter system of type \(M\) to be a pair \((W,R)\), with Wa group generated by \(\{\Gamma_i\}^n_{i=1}=R\) and \(M=(M_{ij})\) a symmetric matrix with \(M_{ii}=1\), \(M_{ij}\in N\), \((\Gamma_i\Gamma_j)^{Mij}=1\), these systems have been investigated from different perspectives since the generators \(\Gamma_i\) with \(\Gamma_i^2=e\), may be ...

Monotone Generalized Nonlinear Contractions in Partially Ordered Metric Spaces [PDF]
AbstractA concept of "Equation missing"-monotone mapping is introduced, and some fixed and common fixed point theorems for "Equation missing"-non-decreasing generalized nonlinear contractions in partially ordered complete metric spaces are proved. Presented theorems are generalizations of very recent fixed point theorems due to Agarwal et al. (2008).

Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

On the 21st of January 1217, St. Dominic Guzman and his order were given the bulla "Gratiarum omnium" from the Pope, Honorius III (1216-1227), which approved their idea of preaching and spreading the Gospel; thus they became independent from the bishops
