Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Algorithmics of Posets Generated by Words Over Partially Commutative Alphabets (Extended) [PDF]
It is natural to try to relate partially ordered sets (posets in short) and classes of equivalent words over partially commutative alphabets. Their common graphical representation are Hasse diagrams.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Investigating Skew Derivations on Partially Ordered Sets: A Generalized Approach
The main goal of this article is to discuss skew derivations on posets under certain criteria, some of which are novel. Moreover, a few examples illustrate that various restrictions forced within the framework of these results’ assumptions cannot be ...

We discuss a class of singular boundary value problems of fractional q-difference equations. Some existence and uniqueness results are obtained by a fixed point theorem in partially ordered sets. Finally, we give an example to illustrate the results.

By considering a metric space with partially ordered sets, we employ the coupled fixed point type to scrutinize the uniqueness theory for the Langevin equation that included two generalized orders.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.
