T‐Shaped 8‐Aryl(ethynyl)‐Substituted Psoralens With Tunable Charge‐Transfer Absorption

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Starting from 8‐methoxypsoralen, new 8‐arylated and 8‐alkynylated psoralen derivatives are accessible by cross‐coupling. These T‐shaped π‐expanded chromophores are luminescent and photophysics reveal a highly polar excited state with tunable charge‐transfer character.

Consecutive (Pseudo‐)Four‐Component Synthesis of Meta‐ and Ortho‐Biaryl Triarylamines with Tunable Emission and Redox Properties

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
The combination of Suzuki and Buchwald–Hartwig coupling in (pseudo‐)four‐component reactions paves an efficient one‐pot route to twisted, redox‐active triarylamine (TAA) emitters. Biaryl substitution patterns and para‐substituents serve as key levers for tuning redox potentials, as well as absorption and emission energies, complemented and, by time ...

A Novel Supercapacitor with Integrated Photosensitive Electrode to Enhance Its Capacitance Under Solar Light

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
In this research we demonstrated that the energy density of supercapacitors can be enhanced at about 50% by generating extra charge through the use of a photosensitive cell coupled to the supercapacitor estructure. ABSTRACT This research reports a supercapacitor (SC) made with a photosensitive electrode (composed of LaFe0.94V0.01Mn0.05O3 (V‐LFO ...

Phase change material integrated core–shell catalyst for in situ thermal control in methanol synthesis from syngas

open access: yesAIChE Journal, Volume 72, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract A model‐guided core–shell catalyst design is presented for methanol synthesis, featuring a phase change material (PCM) core encapsulated by a Cu–Zn–Al 2O 3 (CZA) catalytic shell. The PCM enables in situ thermal management by absorbing reaction heat at its melting point, mitigates the kinetic decline at high temperatures and therefore avoids ...
