Insight-HXMT observations of jet-like corona in a black hole X-ray binary MAXI J1820+070
Evolution of accretion disk and corona during outbursts in black hole binary systems is still unclear. Here, the authors show spectral analysis of MAXI J1820+070 and propose a scenario of a dynamical corona to explain the evolution of the reflection ...

A data-directed paradigm for BSM searches: the bump-hunting example
We propose a data-directed paradigm (DDP) to search for new physics. Focusing on the data without using simulations, exclusive selections which exhibit significant deviations from known properties of the standard model can be identified efficiently and ...

ABSTRACT This work discusses the thermal performance of magnetized hybrid nanofluid flow over a variable porous stretchable surface, emphasizing the underlying physical mechanisms governing heat and mass transfer. The Cattaneo–Christov flux model is used in place of Fourier's and Fick's laws to incorporate relaxation effects, ensuring a more realistic ...

ABSTRACT This work examines magnetohydrodynamic (CeO2, Ti3C2/H2O) hybrid nanofluid (HNF) flow on an inclined revolving disk with effects of Newtonian heating. HNF is obtained by suspending the nanoparticles (NPs) of CeO2 and Ti3C2 in water (H2O). The flow is affected by mixed convection, Joule heating, nonlinear thermally radiative and dissipative ...

A Search for Minute-timescale Flares from the Transient AT 2024wpp
The AT 2018cow-like fast blue optical transient AT 2022tsd showed a large number of a few-minute-duration, high-luminosity (∼10 ^43 erg s ^−1 ) flares. We present an intensive search for such flares from another 18cow-like event, AT 2024wpp. We have used

The ORCA‐TWIN qCMOS Experiment I. Science Case and Commissioning at Calar Alto Observatory
ABSTRACT We describe a pilot study to explore a new generation of fast and low noise CMOS image sensors for time domain astronomy, using two remote telescopes with a baseline of 1635 km. The experiment involves direct imaging with novel qCMOS image sensor technology that combines fast readout with sub‐electron readout noise.

Complex Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model in the double scaling limit
We solve for the exact energy spectrum, 2-point and 4-point functions of the complex SYK model, in the double scaling limit at all energy scales. This model has a U(1) global symmetry.

Unintegrated Gluon Distributions as Probability Densities for QCD Dynamical Entropy
ABSTRACT We present a systematic procedure for constructing normalized transverse momentum probability distributions from phenomenological unintegrated gluon distributions (UGDs). These distributions provide the probabilistic foundation of the QCD dynamical entropy formalism and can be employed in the evaluation of other statistical observables.

The reaction between the methanol radical cation and sulfur dioxide is remarkably fast and forms several ionic and neutral products (HOSOH+, CH2OSO+, CH2OH+, CH2O, H2O, HSO2). The chemistry goes beyond simple proton or hydrogen transfer, revealing a close interaction between the two species, relevant to atmospheric and astrochemical environments where ...

A derivation of AdS/CFT for vector models
We explicitly rewrite the path integral for the free or critical O(N) (or U(N)) bosonic vector models in d space-time dimensions as a path integral over fields (including massless high-spin fields) living on (d + 1)-dimensional anti-de Sitter space ...
