Challenges with bearings only tracking for missile guidance systems and how to cope with them. [PDF]
This paper addresses the problem of closed loop missile guidance using bearings and target angular extent information. Comparison is performed between particle filtering methods and derivative free methods.

On coupling particle filter trajectories [PDF]
Particle filters are a powerful and flexible tool for performing inference on state-space models. They involve a collection of samples evolving over time through a combination of sampling and re-sampling steps. The re-sampling step is necessary to ensure that weight degeneracy is avoided.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

State-of-the-art stochastic data assimilation methods for high-dimensional non-Gaussian problems
This paper compares several commonly used state-of-the-art ensemble-based data assimilation methods in a coherent mathematical notation. The study encompasses different methods that are applicable to high-dimensional geophysical systems, like ocean and ...

Wrapped Particle Filtering for Angular Data
Particle filtering is probably the most widely accepted methodology for general nonlinear filtering applications. The performance of a particle filter critically depends on the choice of proposal distribution.

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Stochastic Data Association for Multipath Assisted Positioning Using a Single Transmitter
This paper builds on and extends the Channel-SLAM algorithm which exploits a multipath radio channel for the position estimation of mobile receivers. Channel-SLAM treats Multipath Components (MPCs) as Line-of-sight (LoS) signals originating from Virtual ...

Probability hypothesis density filtering for real-time traffic state estimation and prediction [PDF]
The probability hypothesis density (PHD) methodology is widely used by the research community for the purposes of multiple object tracking. This problem consists in the recursive state estimation of several targets by using the information coming from an

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in
