Propagation of chaos for the thermostatted Kac master equation [PDF]
The Kac model is a simplified model of an $N$-particle system in which the collisions of a real particle system are modeled by random jumps of pairs of particle velocities.

We present a mechanistic model for a Newtonian fluid called fluid particle dynamics. By analyzing the concept of ``fluid particle'' from the point of view of a Voronoi tessellation of a molecular fluid, we propose an heuristic derivation of a dissipative particle dynamics algorithm that incorporates shear forces between dissipative particles.

The particle modeling of the oxygen carriers produced and characterized in WP 1 is based on two publications realized at the Instituto de Carboquimica, CSIC. These works are based also on the theory developed by Levenspiel when speaking of reactions catalyzed by solids and the pore diffusion resistance combined with surface kinetics.

Effect of Flow Rate and Filter Efficiency on Indoor PM2.5 in Ventilation and Filtration Control
Ventilation and filtration control play a critical role in determining indoor PM2.5 (particles less than 2.5 μm in aerodynamic diameter) concentrations of outdoor or indoor origin in residential environments.

New Model of Higher-Spin Particle [PDF]
We elaborate on a new model of the higher-spin (HS) particle which makes manifest the classical equivalence of the HS particle of the unfolded formulation and the HS particle model with a bosonic counterpart of supersymmetry.

Self Consistent and Renormalized particle-particle RPA in a Schematic Model [PDF]
The dynamical effects of ground state correlations for excitation energies and transition strengths near the superfluid phase transition are studied in the soluble two level pairing model, in the context of the particle-particle self consistent Random ...

Possible models of V·particles, mainly concerned with VO (V10)·particles, are investigated in a systematic way on the basis of their characteristic features, one being experimental evidences and the other theoretical requirements such as the stability of nuclei and the charge independence.

Dynamics and Wear Analysis of Hydraulic Turbines in Solid-liquid Two-phase Flow
To solve unstable operating and serious wearing of a hydraulic turbine in its overflow parts under solid-liquid two-phase flow, a particle model software and an inhomogeneous model in CFX are used to simulate the hydraulic turbine to understand the ...
