Revisiting the decoupling limit of the Georgi-Machacek model with a scalar singlet

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We study the connection between collider and dark matter phenomenology in the singlet extension of the Georgi-Machacek model. In this framework, the singlet scalar serves as a suitable thermal dark matter (DM) candidate. Our focus lies on the region v χ <

Nonthermal Production of Dark Radiation and Dark Matter

open access: yes, 2020
Dark matter may be coupled to dark radiation: light degrees of freedom that mediate forces between dark sector particles. Cosmological constraints favor dark radiation that is colder than Standard Model radiation.

Dual‐Mode Magnetic Elastomer for On‐Demand Motion and Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A dual‐mode magnetic elastomer is introduced, enabling DC field‐driven programmable actuation and AC field‐driven magnetothermal degradation. GHz‐range magnetic fields generate ultrafast heating of magnetic nanoparticles that activates cleavage of the silicone elastomer matrix.

Signatures of Majorana dark matter with t-channel mediators

open access: yes, 2015
Three main strategies are being pursued to search for non-gravitational dark matter signals: direct detection, indirect detection and collider searches.

Titanium Suboxides Responsible for Electronic Anomaly Near Room Temperature in the Ti3C2Tx MXene

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Our multi‐technique study reveals that the near‐room‐temperature anomaly in Ti3C2Tx MXene is linked to titanium suboxide nanodomains, including Ti3O5, embedded within the MXene host. Their temperature‐driven transformation provides an alternative explanation to solvent‐ and swelling‐based models and offers new insight into the thermally activated ...

Cosmology of Scalar Field Dark Matter with Self-Interactions

open access: yes, 2022
In the standard model of the universe, the presence of a cold and dark form of matter is essential for explaining a wide range of observables, from the very largest scales such as the microwave background radiation, to galaxies and sub-galactic scales ...

Exploring Pb‐Chelation Chemistry in the Crystallization Dynamics of Halide Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A mechanism of how Pb‐chelation chemistry governs coordination geometry and initial nucleation behavior at the precursor level of halide perovskite, by regulating the deprotonation state of a chelating additive, is elucidated. This allows for innovative reaction‐system design principles that promote coherent growth while suppressing defect formation in

Low-energy radiative backgrounds in CCD-based dark-matter detectors

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The reach of sub-GeV dark-matter detectors is at present severely affected by low-energy events from various origins. We present the theoretical methods to compute the single- and few-electron events that arise from secondary radiation emitted by high ...

Triplet-quadruplet dark matter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
: We explore a dark matter model extending the standard model particle content by one fermionic SU(2)L triplet and two fermionic SU(2)L quadruplets, leading to a minimal realistic UV-complete model of electroweakly interacting dark matter which interacts

Chlorination‐Enabled Oxygen Control and Dual‐Sulfur Source Aided Trap Passivation to Unlock 8.24% Efficient Sb2S3 Photovoltaic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a scalable, low‐temperature synthesis strategy that combines a thioacetamide (TA)‐based dual sulfur source with CdS chlorination, enabling the formation of high‐quality Sb2S3 with a reduced open‐circuit voltage loss, resulting in improved device efficiency.
