A fuzzy partitioning system

IEEE Micro, 1995
Our system uses fuzzy logic to bipartition cells in VLSI circuits. The system uses fuzzy logic principles to generate net and cell indices and a bottom-up clustering algorithm to produce the two-way partition. We tested our algorithm on eleven ISCAS89 benchmark circuits and compare its performance with that of other implementations.

System Level Partitioning for Embedded Systems

2017 IEEE 41st Annual Computer Software and Applications Conference (COMPSAC), 2017
Platforms with different computation resource, e.g. CPUs and FPGAs, become one of the first choices to deploy performance-requiring embedded applications. On this technology, functionalities can be implemented either as hardware (HW) or software (SW) components.

Microsensor packaging and system partitioning

Sensors and Actuators, 1988
Abstract The possibility of using microfabrication technology for creating integrated sensors and actuators also brings with it new design problems. This paper addresses three of these design problems: system partitioning, package design and process optimization in the presence of the technological constraints that arise when one wishes to build both

PARTITION OF SYSTEMS' BEHAVIORS

Kybernetes, 1983
The general problem to be considered in this paper is as follows: Given a general system defined by m attributes, find a meaningful partition of systems’ behaviors. Using an order preserving mapping from a space of m attributes into an m‐dimensional Euclidean space, a partitioning criterion of systems' behaviors is defined.

Partitioning of hierarchical automation systems

Proceedings 13th Euromicro Conference on Real-Time Systems, 2002
The research described concerns the partitioning of large control applications for a multi-computer system in order to meet plant localization requirements and to exploit parallelism. The considered applications have hierarchical structure and are composed by a network of automata.

Microprocessor system partitioning

Microprocessors, 1978
Abstract There is a wide range of microprocessor families on the market, and practically all of them have their own way of being put together. However, they all use the same basic functional blocks, such as program storage, peripheral interface and processor (which also contains various elements of its own). The diagrams are an attempt to show how a

Mesh partitioning for distributed systems

Proceedings. The Seventh International Symposium on High Performance Distributed Computing (Cat. No.98TB100244), 2002
Distributed systems, which consist of a collection of high performance systems interconnected via high performance networks (e.g. ATM), are becoming feasible platforms for execution of large-scale, complex problems. We address various issues related to mesh partitioning for distributed systems.

ON MODELING PARTITIONED MULTIPROCESSOR SYSTEMS

International Journal of High Speed Computing, 1994
In recent years, multiprocessor systems have been developed to exploit parallelism within individual programs. However, a multiprocessor system may be used more efficiently if its processors are partitioned among independent parallel programs. The partitioning of a multiprocessor system is addressed in this paper.

Network Partition in Power Systems

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1989
Abstract This paper describes a technique to partition power networks into cluster of nodes and transmission elements. The objective is to obtain smaller and semi-independent sub-networks to jmprove the computational efficiency of some steady-state power system functions such as, for instance, security and reactive power controls, and contingency ...
