The family Parvoviridae comprises a large and diverse set of animal viruses, found in invertebrate and vertebrate hosts. Features are an ssDNA genome encapsidated in an icosahedral protein shell of about 20–28 nm, a diverse strategy to express genomes of small dimensions, and a strict dependence on the cell environment for productive infection.

Parvoviruses of Invertebrates (Parvoviridae)
2021A wide spectrum of invertebrates is susceptible to various linear single-stranded DNA viruses. Their complexity of replication results in a strong dependence on actively dividing cells. They are usually highly pathogenic for invertebrates (Hexapoda, Decapoda, Echinodermata, etc.).

Novel parvovirus sublineage in the family of Parvoviridae
Virus Genes, 2010Parvoviridae, which are classified into two subfamilies Parvovirinae and Densovirinae, can infect both vertebrate and insects and are related to a wide range of diseases in insects, animals, and humans. In this report, several new parvoviruses were identified in swine sera collected in southeastern China.

Publisher Summary Parvoviridae are nonenveloped isometric particles approximately 20-25 nm in diameter consisting of an exterior protein shell (capsid) and an internal DNA genome. Members of the parvovirus genus are pathogenic in many animals, though usually confined to one species in natural infections.

Selective pressure dominates the synonymous codon usage in parvoviridae
Virus Genes, 2012Parvoviridae is a family of small non-enveloped viruses and divided into two subfamilies. The family members infect a wide range of organisms from insects to humans and some of the members (e.g., nonpathogenic adeno-associated viruses) are effective gene therapy delivery vectors.

Rapid and sensitive heterologous enzyme immunoassays for densonucleosis virus (Parvoviridae)
Archives of Virology, 1982There exists a serious lack of rapid and sensitive methods to identify densonucleosis viruses and to discriminate among them. Two different enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) were adapted for this purpose, which were both significantly faster and more sensitive than currently used ELISA procedures.

Papillomaviruslar, özellikle sığır, koyun, keçi ve domuzlarda deri ve meme lezyonlarına yol açmakta; lezyonlar çoğunlukla iyi huylu olsa da bazı tiplerde malign transformasyon ...openaire +1 more source
