Diagnosis of Urolithiasis and Rate of Spontaneous Passage During Pregnancy

Journal of Urology, 2011
Due to imaging limitations little is known about the true rate of spontaneous stone passage during pregnancy. We evaluated the accuracy of urolithiasis diagnosis during pregnancy and the rate of spontaneous passage. We retrospectively reviewed the records of patients diagnosed with urolithiasis during pregnancy from 1997 to 2009. Patients were evaluated

THE RATE OF PASSAGE OF FEED THROUGH THE DIGESTIVE TRACT OF THE MINK

Canadian Journal of Biochemistry and Physiology, 1962
The time required for carmine-dyed rations to pass through the digestive tracts of mink in the late stages of growth was observed in four separate experiments with the same nine groups of animals, all of which were involved in a nutritional study. Each group received a different ration; five of the rations were based on conventional moist ingredients ...

Ruminal passage rate as affected by CrNDF particle size

Animal Feed Science and Technology, 1992
Abstract Fractional rumen passage rates of three particle sizes of CrNDF (less than 0.3, 0.6–1.0 and 15–25 mm) and of CoEDTA were estimated in an experiment with three lactating and three non-lactating rumen-fistulated cows, fed grass silage ad libitum and 7 kg and 1 kg of concentrates, respectively.

Dietary fiber effects on passage rate and breath hydrogen

The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, 1985
Fermentation of fiber and passage to the large intestine were monitored by measuring hydrogen gas (H2) concentration in expired breath. Five subjects consumed meals containing no added fiber or 40 g of wheat bran (WB), corn bran (CB), oat bran (OB), or citrus flour (CF) replacing white flour.

Effect of Sodium Hydroxide Treatment on Rate of Passage and Rate of Ruminal Fiber Digestion

Journal of Animal Science, 1980
Ruminally fistulated lambs were used to measure the effect of sodium hydroxide treatment on rate of passage and rate of ruminal fiber digestion. Corncobs were raised to 60% moisture and treated to a final concentration of 0, 2.5, 5.0, 7.5 and 10.0% NaOH on a dry matter basis.

Assessing fish-passage rates

Riverine fragmentation by dams, culverts, and other barriers has led to the precipitous decline of migratory fishes nationwide. Accordingly, fish-passage restoration has emerged as a significant issue for resource agencies, restoration professionals, and fisheries managers.

First-Passage Problem in Foreign Exchange Rate

2004
We analyze tick-data of yen-dollar exchange rate and study the distribution of first-passage time (in short FPT), which is defined by the time that the rate firstly moves out from a given range. We report that the distribution of FPT is well described by a stretched exponential function with.
