The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

The rate of passage of food in the digestive tract of ruminants

open access: yesAgricultural and Food Science, 1952
Kirjallisuudessa tavataan lukuisasti mainintoja, jotka ilmoittavat pitkäkö aika kuluu tietyn aterian alkamisesta syödyn rehun ensimmäisten sulamattomien osasten erittymiseen sonnassa, sekä kauanko kestää ennen kuin viimeisetkin osaset ovat poistuneet ruoansulatuskanavasta.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Marking Food for Studying Its Rate of Passage in Poultry

open access: yesPoultry Science, 1965
Abstract A review of methods used to study the rate of food passage in poultry shows that no consistant technique for marking food has been adopted. Apparently no indicator possessing all the necessary requirements of a reliable marker has been found and described. An effective marker must have the following qualities. It must be convenient and easy

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

The Rate of the Passage of Time in Inertial Coordinate Systems

open access: yesJournal of Advance Research in Mathematics And Statistics (ISSN 2208-2409)
A comparison of the rate of the passage of time was made based on the results of the Michelson-Morley experiment in inertial coordinate systems, stationary (x,y,z,t) and moving (x',y',z',t').lt was found that the time flows at the same speed in a moving and stationary syste ms.
Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

How to Avoid the Problem of the Question of the Rate of Time’s Passage

open access: yesRevista Portuguesa de Filosofia, 2015
The paper analyzes some recent versions of the objection to the existence of the flow of time based on the question: “How fast does time flow?”. It shows that the replies given to the problem are implausible and instead proposes a solution for the issue in the form of a conception of the flow of time which can avoid such a difficulty.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
