This study develops sustainable MgO–C refractories using recycled materials and eco‐friendly fructose–tannin binders. The enhanced performance of citric acid as a cross‐linker and functional additives on mechanical and thermomechanical properties was examined. Characterization included strength tests, immersion trials, and microstructural and inclusion

Phase ordering and roughening on growing films
We study the interplay between surface roughening and phase separation during the growth of binary films. Already in 1+1 dimension, we find a variety of different scaling behaviors depending on how the two phenomena are coupled.

Chronoamperometric study of the passive behaviour of tantalum in hostile media during water addition [PDF]
The ability of tantalum to become passive through water addition in methanol solution during chronoamperometric experiments has been investigated. The achievement of passivity was found to be modulated according to the applied electrical potential and ...

Enhanced Strength and Corrosion Resistance of Ti‐13Nb‐12Ta‐10Zr‐4Sn Alloy by Aging Treatment
This work systematically investigates the effect of aging treatment on mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of vacuum arc‐melted Ti‐13Nb‐12Ta‐10Zr‐4Sn alloy. Owing to the increased α″ martensite, strength and corrosion resistance were significantly enhanced by aging treatment.

From a thin film model for passive suspensions towards the description of osmotic biofilm spreading
Biofilms are ubiquitous macro-colonies of bacteria that develop at various interfaces (solid-liquid, solid-gas or liquid-gas). The formation of biofilms starts with the attachment of individual bacteria to an interface, where they proliferate and produce

Thin Film Passivation Characteristics in OLED Using In-situ Passivation [PDF]
In this study, the fabrication and the characteristic analyses of OLED using in-situ passivation are investigated. OLEDs represent a disadvantage in decreasing its life due to the degradation caused by the penetration of moisture and oxygen. After the fabrication of OLED, an in-situ passivation method for inorganic thin films is developed.
