Fast Charge–Discharge of LiNi0.9Co0.05Mn0.05 Enabled by a Bikitaite‐Infused Separator for Li Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A bikitaite‐infused cellulose separator is introduced for Li metal batteries, leveraging bikitaite zeolite's ion‐conductive properties to regulate Li+‐ion flux and suppress dendrite growth. The membrane design ensures uniform Li plating, enhanced electrolyte wettability, and robust thermal/mechanical stability, delivering stable performance and low ...

Global stability analysis of 2D and fully 3D incompressible flows with applications to flow control

open access: yes, 2013
Numerical tools for global linear stability and sensitivity analyses in fluid dynamics are developed in the present work. These tools are applied to the investigation and control of two- and three-dimensional internal flow configurations.

Passive control of sonic flow from converging nozzle with D-shaped rib

open access: yesResults in Engineering
The abrupt expansion at the blunt base of projectiles, rockets, missiles, etc., is a common phenomenon. Flow separation and reattachment are caused by the abrupt increase in the base area, and the pressure in the separated recirculation area is lower ...

Square cylinder with passive flow control

open access: yes, 2017
In the present paper it is presented the flow around a 2D square cylinder which is located downstream of a splitter plate and at a certain distance of it. The fluid velocity below and above the splitter plate is different, several velocity ratios are considered, it is interesting to see that the downstream vortex shedding frequency and amplitude highly

Contribution to active and passive Control of Flow around a Cylinder

open access: yes, 2013
This numerical study aims to develop a coupled, passive and active control strategy of the flow around a cylinder of diameter D, and Re=4000. The strategy consists to put a cylindrical rod in front of a deforming cylinder. The quasi- elliptical deformation of cylinder follow a sinusoidal law in order to reduce the drag force.

Polymer Interface Enables Reversible Quasi‐Solid Sulfur Conversion in Sodium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The polymer interface enables a stable quasi‐solid sulfur conversion pathway in room‐temperature Na─S batteries. The coating regulates Na+ transport, stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase, and accommodates mechanical stress, suppressing electrolyte decomposition and sulfur migration, thereby improving reaction uniformity, reducing polarization,
