Passive level indicator and valve for transferring LN2

A gas thermometer operated diaphragm valve for controling LN2 transfers is described. The value uses the pressure variation of air or N2 between 77 K and ambient temperature to open and close the vent line of a self-pressuring storage Dewar.

[Indications for passive immunotherapy in infectious diseases].

The most important indications for passive immunotherapy in the field of infectious diseases are reviewed. Intramuscular immunoglobulins are useful in prophylaxis and treatment of diseases due to bacterial exotoxins and in prophylaxis of some viral infections. However, their efficacy against bacterial infections has not been demonstrated.
