A new species of skin-feeding caecilian and the first report of reproductive mode in Microcaecilia (amphibia: Gymnophiona: Siphonopidae). [PDF]
A new species of siphonopid caecilian, Microcaecilia dermatophaga sp. nov., is described based on nine specimens from French Guiana. The new species is the first new caecilian to be described from French Guiana for more than 150 years.

A whole‐genome analysis of two cryptic, sympatric sister species of the neotropical ant Crematogaster levior sampled along a climatic gradient in French Guiana was carried out. The correlations between population‐specific environmental parameters and cuticular hydrocarbon profiles reveal very little parallelism in genomic signatures of selection ...

The two mutualistically associated ant species Crematogaster levior and Camponotus femoratus from the neotropics both exhibit unusually high cuticular hydrocarbon (CHC) diversity. By analyzing genetic barcodes, cuticular hydrocarbon profile, and morphological data, we can conclusively show that this diversity in fact reflects cryptic species and argue ...

Eucharitid wasps are specific, specialized parasitoids of ants. The genus Kapala Cameron is the most common in the Neotropics but few species are described, and information dealing with their biology, behavior and host associations is scarce. Numerous poneromorph ant colonies were inspected over 4 collection surveys in French Guiana. A diverse fauna of
