Performance analysis of spherical patch arrays
2006 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2006Spherical arrays present a natural choice if complete hemispherical coverage with nearly constant beam width is needed. In this article, circular stacked-patch antennas embedded in a multilayer spherical structure are analyzed using the spectral-domain approach and the moment method.

Analysis of L-probe proximity fed patch antenna with parasitic patch
2017 IEEE Radio and Antenna Days of the Indian Ocean (RADIO), 2017In this paper, an analysis of the Fat Patch Antenna with the extraordinary parasitic patch is described. For the numerical simulations, the Full Wave — CST Microwave Studio software is used. The element of the antenna is fed by the L-probe partially implemented in PCB. An excellent impedance matching is obtained ( 10 dBi).

Coherence, conservation and patch‐occupancy analysis
Oikos, 2012Spatial coherence (synchrony) among subpopulations poses a danger to the metacommunity, as it increases the risk of regional extinction. When this effect is significant, the use of inference techniques based on the stochastic patch occupancy model (SPOM) may be inadequate, since SPOMs assume that each habitat patch is either occupied or empty, thereby ...

AVO Analysis by Patch Template Correlation
65th EAGE Conference & Exhibition, 2003E-25 AVO ANALYSIS BY PATCH TEMPLATE CORRELATION 1 Abstract Amplitude variation with offset (or angle of incidence) measurements (AVO) usually are interpreted in terms of Zoeppritz reflection coefficients a plane wave and sharp plane interface concept. In this paper we provide a generalization that deals with more complicated situations.

Analysis of electromagnetically coupled patch antennas
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 1993AbstractA spectral domain full‐wave analysis is given for a class of electromagnetically coupled patch antennas with cylindrical geometries. Numerical results on the input impedances of the stacked circular disks and the ring‐loaded circular disk are in good agreement with published results in the literature. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Transect‐based patch size frequency analysis
Journal of Vegetation Science, 1997Abstract.A new, transect‐based patch size detection method for species pattern is proposed which improves results obtained with methods described earlier. The method was tested on an extensive artificial data set together with three of the existing methods considered best: Two and Three Term Local Quadrat Variance (T2LQV and T3LQV) and New Local ...

Finite Element Analysis of Patched Cracks
Journal of Structural Mechanics, 1979ABSTRACT A finite element method for analyzing the behavior of cracks in metal sheets which are patched with an overlay of composite material is described. The analysis includes the separate responses of the sheet, composite patch, and adhesive. Debonding of the adhesive is permitted and the stress intensity factor at the crack tip is obtained as well ...

Toward wearable patch for sweat analysis
Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2016Abstract This work presents an inexpensive and disposable miniaturized electrochemical sensing platform, which was fabricated on a polyethylene terephthalate substrate for continuously monitoring the ion composition of sweat. The sweat patch consisted of an area for sweat collection, integrated reference electrode and an array of screen printed AgCl ...

Characteristic modes analysis for patch antenna
2017 IEEE Asia Pacific Microwave Conference (APMC), 2017This paper shows a characteristic modes analysis for patch antenna. Characteristic modes analysis (CMA) solves scattering and radiation problems of metals approximately by using eigenvalue equations. Characteristic modes have the useful property of being orthogonal on the metal surface.

Theoretical analysis of crack patching
1988The development of high-strength fibres and adhesives has made it possible to repair cracked metallic plates (for example, cracked portions of an aircraft’s fuselage) by bonding reinforcing patches to the plate over the crack. The process is referred to as crack patching, and several repairs using this procedure are documented in Chapter 6, Section 7 ...
