ANALYSIS OF TRIANGULAR PATCH ANTENNAS

Electromagnetics, 1989
ABSTRACT An analysis of triangular patch antennas is presented. The patch is modeled as a leaky radial line terminated by a radiation impedance. Impedance characteristics of isosceles triangular patch antennas with various apex angles are shown. Theoretical results yield good agreement with experimental data available in the literature.

Crack Patching: Analysis and Design

Journal of Structural Mechanics, 1982
ABSTRACT Bonded composite patches are frequently used to retard crack growth. This repair procedure is usually referred to as crack patching. The present paper outlines the various methods for the analysis and design of fiber composite patches in thin and thick structures.

Uncertainty analysis for curved surface contact patches

2016 IEEE-RAS 16th International Conference on Humanoid Robots (Humanoids), 2016
We present a Gaussian uncertainty analysis of bounded curved patches that fit to local rough surfaces and are suitable for representing foothold or handhold contacts between an articulated robot and the environment. The input is a set of 3D point samples with 3×3 covariance matrices that express their Gaussian uncertainty.

Learning active facial patches for expression analysis

2012 IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2012
In this paper, we present a new idea to analyze facial expression by exploring some common and specific information among different expressions. Inspired by the observation that only a few facial parts are active in expression disclosure (e.g., around mouth, eye), we try to discover the common and specific patches which are important to discriminate ...

Image patches analysis for text block identification

2012 11th International Conference on Information Science, Signal Processing and their Applications (ISSPA), 2012
In this paper, we propose a novel text block identification method for ancient document understanding. Unlike traditional top-down and bottom-up approaches, our method is based on supervised learning on the patches of document images, which can be considered as an intermediate level method but integrates essential advantages of both the top-down and ...

Multi-Patch Isogeometric Analysis of Space Rods

Civil-Comp Proceedings, 2012
The paper deals with the isogeometric analysis via B-splines of space rods under Kirchhoff-Love hypotheses. The approach was used by Gontier and Vollmer [1] for developing a plane curve element within the framework of the Timoshenko rod model, but they adopted only one patch to represent entirely the geometry of the rod; furthermore the authors ...

Analysis of finite phase arrays of microstrip patches

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1993
A method for the analysis of large phased arrays of microstrip patches is presented. It is based on an infinite array approach where the edge effects are taken into account through the convolution with a proper window function. In the first step, a rigorous Green's function corresponding to a finite array of elementary sources is derived.

SLA-driven applicability analysis for patch management

12th IFIP/IEEE International Symposium on Integrated Network Management (IM 2011) and Workshops, 2011
To strengthen patch management, organizations are required not only to focus on sole patch management on single server, machine or application servers, but also to consider other IT system management processes as well because patch management relies on them to be efficient.

Analysis of Patching Scheme from a Practical Perspective

GLOBECOM 2009 - 2009 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2009
Most previous researches on patching scheme mainly focused on efficient patch stream generation to minimize the required bandwidth by proposing the optimum patching window. Another typical aspect is that they assumed that all the streaming speed is playback speed without deeply analyzing the effects of streaming speed.

Circular patch antenna: Effective analysis for various patch diameter sizes

2015 Annual IEEE India Conference (INDICON), 2015
This paper present the effect of changing the patch diameter on directivity pattern of a linearly polarized micro strip patch antenna. The antenna discussed here has been fabricated on the base of Benzocyclobutene Di-Electrics with di-electric permittivity of et 2.65, simulated with centre frequency of 2.4ghz which makes it suitable for wireless gps ...
