Multi-Patch Isogeometric Analysis of Space Rods

Civil-Comp Proceedings, 2012
The paper deals with the isogeometric analysis via B-splines of space rods under Kirchhoff-Love hypotheses. The approach was used by Gontier and Vollmer [1] for developing a plane curve element within the framework of the Timoshenko rod model, but they adopted only one patch to represent entirely the geometry of the rod; furthermore the authors ...

SLA-driven applicability analysis for patch management

12th IFIP/IEEE International Symposium on Integrated Network Management (IM 2011) and Workshops, 2011
To strengthen patch management, organizations are required not only to focus on sole patch management on single server, machine or application servers, but also to consider other IT system management processes as well because patch management relies on them to be efficient.

Analysis of Patching Scheme from a Practical Perspective

GLOBECOM 2009 - 2009 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2009
Most previous researches on patching scheme mainly focused on efficient patch stream generation to minimize the required bandwidth by proposing the optimum patching window. Another typical aspect is that they assumed that all the streaming speed is playback speed without deeply analyzing the effects of streaming speed.

Circular patch antenna: Effective analysis for various patch diameter sizes

2015 Annual IEEE India Conference (INDICON), 2015
This paper present the effect of changing the patch diameter on directivity pattern of a linearly polarized micro strip patch antenna. The antenna discussed here has been fabricated on the base of Benzocyclobutene Di-Electrics with di-electric permittivity of et 2.65, simulated with centre frequency of 2.4ghz which makes it suitable for wireless gps ...

Patch-Clamp Analysis of the Mitochondrial Calcium Uniporter

2019
Mitochondria accumulate significant amounts of calcium when cytosolic calcium is elevated above the resting levels of 50-100 nM during signaling events. This calcium uptake is primarily mediated by a macromolecular protein assembly called mitochondrial calcium uniporter (MCU) that resides in the mitochondrial inner membrane.

Analysis of L-probe proximity fed patch antenna with parasitic patch

2017 IEEE Radio and Antenna Days of the Indian Ocean (RADIO), 2017
In this paper, an analysis of the Fat Patch Antenna with the extraordinary parasitic patch is described. For the numerical simulations, the Full Wave — CST Microwave Studio software is used. The element of the antenna is fed by the L-probe partially implemented in PCB. An excellent impedance matching is obtained ( 10 dBi).

Aortic Aneurysm After Patch Aortoplasty For Coarctation: Analysis of Patch Size and Wall Growth

Pediatric Cardiology, 2003
Aortic aneurysm may develop after surgery for coarctation of aorta especially patch aortoplasty. The size of patch and of adjacent native aortic wall was analyzed to determine whether aortic dilatation represents a true aneurysm. Electron beam tomography (EBT) was done on 19 patients, three months to 17.5 years after patch aortoplasty.

Theoretical analysis of crack patching

1988
The development of high-strength fibres and adhesives has made it possible to repair cracked metallic plates (for example, cracked portions of an aircraft’s fuselage) by bonding reinforcing patches to the plate over the crack. The process is referred to as crack patching, and several repairs using this procedure are documented in Chapter 6, Section 7 ...

Patch definition in metapopulation analysis: a graph theory approach to solve the mega‐patch problem

Ecology, 2014
The manner in which patches are delineated in spatially realistic metapopulation models will influence the size, connectivity, and extinction and recolonization dynamics of those patches. Most commonly used patch‐definition methods focus on identifying discrete, contiguous patches of habitat from a single temporal observation of species occurrence or ...

A Patch-Clamp ASIC for Nanopore-Based DNA Analysis

IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems, 2013
In this paper, a fully integrated high-sensitivity patch-clamp system is proposed for single-molecule deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) analysis using a nanopore sensor. This system is composed of two main blocks for amplification and compensation. The amplification block is composed of three stages: 1) a headstage, 2) a voltage-gain difference amplifier ...
