Sensitivity enhancement for moisture content detection using modified microstrip patch antennas

open access: yesAIP Advances
A modified slotted microstrip patch sensor antenna has been developed for sensitivity enhancement to measure the moisture content of leaves. The design incorporates a rectangular slot positioned above the feed of a rectangular patch antenna.

Synthesis of a Galile oand Wi-Max Three-Band Fractal-Eroded Patch Antenna [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this letter, the synthesis of a three-band patch antenna working in E5-L1 Galileo and Wi − Max frequency bands is described. The geometry of the antenna is defined by performing a Koch-like erosion in a classical rectangular patch structure according ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

An adaptive microstrip patch antenna for use in portable transceivers [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
This paper describes an adaptive frequency tunable microstrip patch antenna. The introduction of an adaptive feedback loop enables the patch antenna to optimise the antenna-feed impedance match.

Ku Band microstrip patch antenna

open access: yes2015 23nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2015
In this study, a microstrip antenna operating at 11.56 GHz is designed and simulation results are presented. The antenna air thickness is 5 mm and the gap between the antenna and ground is 2.5 mm. Cell size is regarded as 0.75 mm. The antenna was simulated in the frequency range of 5-15 GHz. S11, the input reflection coefficient parameter has the value

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

5G mmWave patch antenna array with proximity sensing function for detecting user's hand grip on mobile terminals

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2023
We propose a new concept millimetre‐wave patch antenna that integrates the functions of an antenna and a capacitive proximity sensor to detect the hand grip state for 5G mobile terminals and compensate for the hand effect.

Breathable Textile Rectangular Ring Microstrip Patch Antenna at 2.45 GHz for Wearable Applications

open access: yesSensors, 2021
A textile patch antenna is an attractive package for wearable applications as it offers flexibility, less weight, easy integration into the garment and better comfort to the wearer. When it comes to wearability, above all, comfort comes ahead of the rest
