Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Design of slit loaded Planar and Curved Patch Antenna
Slit loaded circularly polarized patch antenna embedded on planar structure and curvature structure were investigated. The curvature effect on slit loaded patch antenna determines the limiting value of radius of curvature to obtain circular polarization.

Bandwidth-Enhanced Circularly Polarized Crescent-Shaped Slot Antenna via Circular-Patch Loading
This paper presents the crescent-shaped slot antenna loading of a circular patch that greatly enhances a 3 dB axial-ratio (AR) bandwidth. A bent feeding line was introduced and attached to a 50- Ω microstrip feed line to achieve circular ...

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Fishnet based metamaterial loaded THz patch antenna
A fishnet based metamaterial (MTM) loaded rectangular microstrip patch antenna (RMPA) is proposed for THz applications. The negative refractive index of the MTM has been displayed at frequency range between 1.05 and 1.1 THz. This MTM can be used for improving the return loss, gain and radiation efficiency of RMPA.

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

A self‐adhesive microneedle patch with drug loading capability through swelling effect
Microneedles (MNs) offer a rapid method of transdermal drug delivery through penetration of the stratum corneum. However, commercial translation has been limited by fabrication techniques unique to each drug.
