High‐Performance n‐Type Organic Thermoelectrics Enabled by Control Over Microstructure, Orientation and Contact Plane in Naphthalenediimide‐Bithiazole‐Copolymer Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Effective control over the crystalline contact plane and microstructure of a naphthalenediimide‐bithiazole copolymer enables high‐performance n‐type thermoelectrics. While rubbing alignment induces a detrimental edge‐on orientation, subsequent solvent vapor‐induced re‐orientation facilitates a favorable mixed face‐on/edge‐on morphology.

PathSum: A C++ and Fortran suite of fully quantum mechanical real-time path integral methods for (multi-)system + bath dynamics.

Journal of Chemical Physics, 2023
This paper reports the release of PathSum, a new software suite of state-of-the-art path integral methods for studying the dynamics of single or extended systems coupled to harmonic environments. The package includes two modules, suitable for system-bath

Small matrix disentanglement of the path integral: Overcoming the exponential tensor scaling with memory length.

Journal of Chemical Physics, 2020
The discretized path integral expression for the reduced density matrix (RDM) of a system interacting with a dissipative harmonic bath is fully entangled because of influence functional terms that couple the variables at different time points.

Path Integrals and Product Integrals

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1971
The product integral is shown to be the appropriate mathematical tool for implementing the path integral for spin in its simplest form.

Small Matrix Path Integral for System-Bath Dynamics.

Journal of Chemical Theory and Computation, 2020
A small matrix decomposition of the path integral expression (SMatPI) that yields the reduced density matrix of a system interacting with a dissipative harmonic bath is obtained by recursively spreading the entangled influence functional terms over ...

Small Matrix Path Integral with Extended Memory.

Journal of Chemical Theory and Computation, 2020
The small matrix decomposition of the path integral (SMatPI) for a discrete system coupled to a harmonic bath expresses the reduced density matrix in terms of matrices whose size is given by the number of states comprising the system, circumventing the ...

Path integration in mammals

Hippocampus, 2004
AbstractIt is often assumed that navigation implies the use, by animals, of landmarks indicating the location of the goal. However, many animals (including humans) are able to return to the starting point of a journey, or to other goal sites, by relying on self‐motion cues only.

PATH INTEGRALS FOR QUBITS

International Journal of Modern Physics B, 2004
Feynman started the theory of quantum computation by observing that quantum mechanical amplitudes cannot be simulated efficiently on a computer, since path integrals are computationally hard. Path integrals are heuristic tools for Schrödinger's hamiltonians, at least for real time dynamics. On the contrary they have a rigorous mathematical meaning for

Path integration in dogs

Animal Behaviour, 1998
We studied path integration in dogs, Canis familiaris, required to return to the starting point of L-shaped outward paths in the absence of landmark information. The analysis of the distributions of errors in the return direction and distance showed that the dogs made both systematic and random errors. They tended to overestimate by about 6 degrees the
