Drawing inspiration from the layered hard‐soft architecture found in sea sponges, this work establishes a new framework for architected cementitious composites (ACC) through multi‐material additive manufacturing (MMAM) process. The integration of mortar and elastomer phases into layered architectures enables synergistic toughening mechanisms, including

Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Analysis of Sample-Path Optimization
Mathematics of Operations Research, 1996Sample-path optimization is a method for optimizing limit functions occurring in stochastic modeling problems, such as steady-state functions in discrete-event dynamic systems. It is closely related to retrospective optimization techniques and to M-estimation.

Optimal paths and universality
Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1995Optimal paths in disordered systems are studied using two different models interpolating between weak and infinitely strong disorder. In one case, exact numerical methods are used to study the optimal path in a two-dimensional square lattice whereas a renormalization-group analysis is employed on hierarchical lattices in the other.
