Internal Limiting Membrane Flap Versus Conventional Peeling for Idiopathic Full Thickness Macular Holes: A Registry Analysis of 2990 Eyes

open access: yesClinical &Experimental Ophthalmology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background To compare the anatomical and functional outcomes of internal limiting membrane (ILM) flap and conventional ILM peeling in idiopathic full‐thickness macular holes (FTMHs). Methods Retrospective cohort study of all eyes treated with vitrectomy and ILM peeling (ILM‐P) with or without ILM flap (ILM‐F) for primary idiopathic FTMH repair

Retinal Degenerative Changes and Complications in Pathological Myopia: Cross-sectional Study from a Tertiary Care Centre [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research
Introduction: Higher degrees of pathologic myopia are more frequently associated with degenerative changes which occur in the posterior segment of an eye with high myopia.

Visual Acuity in Pathological Myopia Is Correlated With the Photoreceptor Myoid and Ellipsoid Zone Thickness and Affected by Choroid Thickness.

open access: yesInvestigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science, 2019
Purpose To quantify the thickness of the outer retinal sublayers and choroid in pathological myopia and examine associations between these factors and best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA).

The Phenotypic and Genotypic Features of ADAMTSL4‐Related Ocular Disease

open access: yesClinical Genetics, EarlyView.
ADAMTSL4‐related ocular disease tends to present at a younger age and be associated with higher myopia than other forms of ectopia lentis (such as FBN1). A previously reported 20‐bp deletion (c.767_786del) was highly prevalent in this cohort (23/32), and all ectopia lentis et pupillae cases carried this variant. ABSTRACT Pathogenic variants in ADAMTSL4

Recovery From Anorexia Nervosa: A Concept Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Nursing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim Despite decades of research, we still know surprisingly little about how best to bring about lasting recovery from anorexia nervosa (AN). Furthermore, there is a lack of consensus in the research and treatment communities about what constitutes recovery from AN, or whether “recovery” is even an appropriate term to use in this context.

Application of artificial intelligence in myopia prevention and control

open access: yesPediatric Investigation
The global incidence of myopia is increasing, and high myopia increases the risk of pathological myopia, which can lead to irreversible visual impairment, posing a significant global health concern.

Interest Rate Pegs and the Reversal Puzzle: On the Role of Anticipation

open access: yesJournal of Money, Credit and Banking, EarlyView.
Abstract We revisit the reversal puzzle: a counterintuitive contraction of inflation in response to an interest rate peg. We show that its occurrence is intimately related to the degree of agents' anticipation. If agents perfectly anticipate the peg, reversals occur depending on the duration of the peg.
