Integrated Methylome–Transcriptome Analysis Reveals Epigenomic Remodeling and Rho GTPase–Linked Immune–Epithelial Crosstalk in Atopic Dermatitis

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
Integrated methylome–transcriptome–microbiome analysis of AD skin identified thousands of DMRs. Rho GTPase signaling and actin–junctional programs emerged as central hubs integrating immune, epithelial, and microbial interactions in the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis.

The Testicular Cancer Consortium (TECAC): Filling Knowledge Gaps in the Genetic Etiology of Testicular Germ Cell Tumors

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The Testicular Cancer Consortium (TECAC) was established in 2012 and is comprised of researchers from over 25 centers in Europe and North America. TECAC's overarching goal is to investigate the genetic susceptibility of testicular germ cell tumors (TGCT) to better understand their biology, impact prevention strategies, and inform ...

Associations Between Obesity, Diabetes Mellitus, and Pancreatic Cancer in the Japanese Population: A Mendelian Randomization Study

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
Our Mendelian Randomization analysis provides evidence supporting a causal association between genetic predisposition to T2D, independent of BMI, and an increased risk of pancreatic cancer in the Japanese population, corroborating findings from observational studies.

Early Detection of Lower Adherence to Long‐Term e‐Diary Recording: A Checkpoint to Target Early Educational Intervention in Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis?

open access: yesClinical &Experimental Allergy, EarlyView.
Adherence to e‐Diary reporting was investigated in a blended care setting among pollen allergic patients with heterogeneous cultural backgrounds. A stable ‘higher’ and a more variable ‘lower’ adherence cluster were identified. Early identification of lower adherence is possible and might inform early interventions to improve patient adherence. ABSTRACT

Non‐Isolated Dandy‐Walker Malformation: Exome Sequencing Efficacy and Phenotypic Expansions

open access: yesClinical Genetics, EarlyView.
Exome sequencing identified a diagnosis in 35% of 91 individuals with non‐isolated Dandy Walker malformation (DWM+). Only 24%–55% of these diagnoses could be made using a gene panel. We then demonstrated that DWM is a feature of disorders associated with ANKRD11, C2CD3, COL4A1, KMT2D, KRAS, OPHN1, SHOC2, SMARCB1, and WDR73.

Prior Tooth Mobility and Furcation Involvement Are Associated With Higher Dental Implant Failure Rates: A Propensity‐Matched Cohort Study

open access: yesClinical Oral Implants Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives To compare the long‐term survival of dental implants placed in sites with a documented pre‐operative history of severe tooth mobility or advanced furcation involvement against a matched control group. Material and Methods This retrospective cohort study analyzed patient records from a multi‐university network.

Making sense of TILs: recommendations for morphological assessment of tumour‐infiltrating lymphocytes in gastro‐oesophageal carcinoma

open access: yesHistopathology, EarlyView.
This review examines the role of tumour‐infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in gastro‐oesophageal carcinoma (GEC), focusing on their composition, clinical relevance and therapeutic utility. It proposes a framework for standardised evaluation and reporting of TILs, addressing GEC‐specific pathology challenges to support the widespread use and validation of ...

PAX8‐positive conventional urothelial carcinomas of the urinary bladder and their distinct molecular profiles – A clinicopathologic study of 101 consecutive cases with next‐generation sequencing in 20 cases

open access: yesHistopathology, EarlyView.
PAX8 expression in urothelial carcinoma was investigated in 101 consecutive transurethral resections of the urinary bladder. PAX8 was positive in 10% of cases, with targeted molecular testing of these cases revealing universal TERT promoter mutations and frequent alterations in TSC1, NOTCH1 and WT1. Aims PAX8 immunohistochemistry (IHC) is often used to
