Pattern-reversal auditory evoked potential
Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology/Evoked Potentials Section, 1987The late auditory evoked potential (AEP) was studied in response to an alternatingly frequency-modulated complex tone. This 'pattern-reversal' AEP was found to be a heartier response than the more conventional tone-burst evoked potential, albeit longer in latency.

Pattern formation in reverse filtration combustion
Physical Review E, 2005Using a pore-network simulator we study pattern formation in reverse filtration combustion in porous media. The two-dimensional pore network includes all relevant pore-level mechanisms, including heat transfer through the pore space and the solid matrix, fluid and mass transfer through the pore space, and reaction kinetics of a solid fuel embedded in ...

Pattern-reversal electroretinograms in ocular hypertension
Documenta Ophthalmologica, 1985Pattern-reversal electroretinograms (ERGs) were recorded from seven patients, aged 50 to 69 years, with clinical diagnosis of unilateral ocular hypertension. In four of the seven patients the pattern ERG amplitude from the hypertensive eye was reduced below the normal level of variability, when compared with the amplitude from the opposite normotensive

Reversing Aberrant Methylation Patterns in Cancer
Current Medicinal Chemistry, 2010Changes to the epigenetic information within a cell play a significant role in cancer development and progression. These epigenetic changes are important in establishing the aberrant gene expression patterns that are a feature of cancer cell biology.

Differences between pattern onset and pattern reversal retinal responses
Documenta Ophthalmologica, 1989The pattern-evoked electroretinogram was recorded to pattern onset-offset and pattern reversal stimuli in two color-normal subjects with either luminance contrast of black-red (600 nm) and black-green (526 nm) square-wave stripe patterns or color contrast red-green patterns.

Relationship between pattern appearance-disappearance and pattern reversal responses
Experimental Brain Research, 1974Two recent dipole models (Michael and Halliday, 1971; Jeffreys and Axford, 1972a, b) for the cortical generators of pattern evoked responses differ both in polarity and to a lesser extent in location of the dipoles. In this paper evidence is presented that these different results, instead of being contradictory, point to different cortical ...

Pattern-reversal visual evoked potential
Journal of the Neurological Sciences, 1978A detailed method of analysis of the pattern-reversal visual evoked potential is presented. This method takes into account a number of parameters in addition to the latency of the major surface-positive component (P2) and has been tested in a group of 50 normal subjects and in 98 patients with established or suspected multiple sclerosis (MS).

Reversible Scan Based Diagnostic Patterns
2019 International Symposium on VLSI Design, Automation and Test (VLSI-DAT), 2019For advanced technologies, the current industry is seeing very complicated silicon defect types and defect distribution. It is very common for the yield of a new design with new technology to start at a very low level and it's critical to ramp up yield as quickly as possible to meet the market window.

Magnetization Reversal in Patterned Media
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2007Magnetization reversal mechanisms for single patterned media elements have been examined. Sizes and magnetic properties have been examined for parallelepipeds of fixed aspect ratio. For element sizes for 1 Tbit/in2 recording magnetization reversal is nearly uniform for a uniform applied field.

Drifting patterns as field reversals
EPL (Europhysics Letters), 2015One-dimensional patterns generated by the Faraday instability at the surface of a vertically vibrated fluid are investigated when the reflection symmetry in the direction of the pattern is broken. For large symmetry breaking, the stationary instability turns into a Hopf bifurcation at a codimension-2 point.
