Development of An Artificial Neural Network Model for Asphalt Pavement Deterioration Using LTPP Data [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Rehabilitation in Civil Engineering, 2020
Deterioration models are the essential parts of any Pavement Management System (PMS). These models are employed to predict future pavement situation based on existence condition, parameters causing deterioration and implications of various maintenance ...

Validation of smartphone based pavement roughness measures

open access: yesCoRR, 2017
Smartphones are equipped with sensors such as accelerometers, gyroscope, and GPS in one cost-effective device with an acceptable level of accuracy. There have been some research studies carried out in terms of using smartphones to measure the pavement roughness.

Distress and profile data analysis for condition assessment in pavement management systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Pavement data collection is the most expensive and time consuming component of Pavement Management System (PMS). Thus, possible methods of minimizing the need of such data might be critical in reducing pavement condition monitoring costs.

Roughness-Induced Pavement–Vehicle Interactions [PDF]

open access: yesTransportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, 2015
We explore the possibility that bound states involving dark matter particles could be detected by resonance searches at the LHC and the generic implications of such scenarios for indirect and direct detection. We demonstrate that resonance searches are complementary to monojet searches and can probe dark matter masses above 1 TeV with current LHC data.

Pavement roughness [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Kolnička konstrukcija se treba projektirati kao takva da zadovolji zahtjeve u pogledu sigurnosti i udobnosti, te u određenom vijeku trajanja zadrži svoja svojstva i ne podliježe prevelikim deformacijama. Kolnik sadržava gornji i donji ustroj.

Wavelet Filter Design for Pavement Roughness Analysis

open access: yesComputer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, 2016
Control and characterization of pavement roughness is a major quality assurance requirement. With emerging technologies in real-time monitoring and increasingly stringent requirements to minimize localized roughness features, there is an opportunity to improve upon the traditional quarter-car QC algorithm used to qualify roughness.

Influence of Surface Texture Characteristics on the Noise in Grooving Concrete Pavement

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
To thoroughly explore the relationship between concrete pavement texture characteristics and tire/pavement noise of grooving concrete pavement, the surface texture, i.e., roughness, macrotexture, and microtexture, was investigated in numerous highway ...
