Abstract Perovskite solid solutions (1 − x)Pb(Mg 1/3 Nb 2/3 )O 3 ·xPbTiO 3 with x between 0.06 and 0.14 were prepared by heat treatment followed by acid treatment of mixtures containing both PbO and MgO in amounts greater than in the perovskite composition.

Abstract Calcined powders of Pb(Zr0.53Ti0.47)O3 with excess PbO up to 2 mol% as a sintering aid were ball-milled for 120 hours with the partially stabilized zirconia balls 1mm in diameter. The ground powders down to 0.38μm were fired at the temperatures of 880 to 1180°C for 2 hours, and the effects of excess PbO and particle size of powder on both ...

ISAF '96. Proceedings of the Tenth IEEE International Symposium on Applications of Ferroelectrics, 2002
High-displacement RAINBOW actuators were fabricated from tape cast PLZT 7/65/35 and 9/65/35 ceramics which were hatched with 0 to 5% excess PbO by weight. Fired densities of the starting ceramics were maximized with 3% excess PbO. It was found that the electromechanical characteristics of the RAINBOWs were more dependent on grain size than density ...

Abstract This paper presents general transmission electron microscopy observations of polymeric sol-gel derived PZT(52/48) thin films that were heat treated in a conventional furnace for 1 hour at 700[ddot]C. Results from high resolution TEM, EDS and EELS are also included. The thin films revealed a complex microstructure with dispersed nanocrystalline

Properties of (Pb0.90Ba0.10)ZrO3Ceramics with Deficient and Excess PbO
Ferroelectrics, 2009The effects of excess PbO on the properties of perovskite (Pb0.90Ba0.10)ZrO3 (PBZ10) have been investigated. The PBZ10 ceramics were prepared by a conventional mixed oxide method. Excess PbO (−1.5, 1, 3, 5 and 10 wt%) was added together with starting materials to compensate for PbO loss from evaporation during calcination and sintering. The XRD results
