Parameter Optimization and Machining Performance of Inconel 625 with Nanoparticles Dispersed in Biolubricant

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
Productivity and cost‐effectiveness are essential components of any long‐term manufacturing system. While quantity and quality are linked to productivity, the economy focuses on energy‐efficient processes that produce a high output‐to‐input ratio. Hard‐to‐cut materials have always been difficult to machine because of more significant tool wear and ...

Fracture Properties of PCBN as a Function of Loading Rate and Temperature [PDF]

open access: yesKey Engineering Materials, 2010
Polycrystalline Cubic Boron Nitride (PCBN) is a super-hard material used in some of the most demanding material removal operations today. These include turning of hardened steels, as well as the machining of highly abrasive alloys. In these applications the tools are subjected to high operating temperatures, abrasive and impact loading.

Evaluation of machining performance of STAVAX with PCBN tools [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, 2004
A study was undertaken to investigate the wear characteristics of polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (PCBN) cutting tools and surface integrity during machining of STAVAX (specialised stainless steel) with and without coolant. Plastic deformation and formation of overtempered martensite and white layer (untempered martensite) were the dominant ...

Comprehensive Profiling Reveals Sialyl‐Tn Upregulation and Prognostic Value in Prostate Cancer

open access: yesPathology International, Volume 76, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study utilises a novel antibody (L2A5) to comprehensively monitor sialyl‐Tn antigen (sTn) expression levels in clinical prostate cancer tissues. We reveal sTn is expressed in 44% of prostate tumours and find prostate cancer patients with high sTn levels have significantly poorer survival times.
