Exceptional capture of methane at low pressure by an iron‐based metal‐organic framework

MFM‐300(Fe) shows exceptional high uptake of CH4 at low pressure, which enables the highly efficient capture of CH4 and separation of CH4/N2 under ambient conditions. The unique and strong binding interaction between MFM‐300(Fe) and CH4 is revealed structurally via complementary experimental techniques coupled with modelling.
