The optimization and application of photodynamic diagnosis and autofluorescence imaging in tumor diagnosis and guided surgery: current status and future prospects

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology
Photodynamic diagnosis (PDD) and autofluorescence imaging (AFI) are emerging cancer diagnostic technologies that offer significant advantages over traditional white-light endoscopy in detecting precancerous lesions and early-stage cancers; moreover, they

Real‐World Retrospective Analysis of Daratumumab for Relapsed or Refractory Multiple Myeloma in Regional Australia

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Clinical Oncology, EarlyView.
This retrospective case series evaluated all patients treated with daratumumab between 2018 and 2023 across two regional hospitals in Australia. Fifty‐two patients were included with a median age of 74. Median progression‐free survival (PFS) was 13 months and overall survival (OS) was 27 months, with an overall response rate was 35%.

A qualitative investigation of the lived experiences of adults with anxiety and related disorders and ADHD: Interconnectedness of symptoms and implications for improving care

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is highly prevalent in adults with anxiety and related disorders (ARDs). Quantitative research on this clinical population is mixed, with some studies suggesting that anxiety is protective against some symptoms of ADHD and others in which co‐occurring ARDs and ADHD are linked to poorer

Developing a core outcome set for generalized anxiety disorder during the perinatal period: Identifying core treatment outcomes in perinatal anxiety

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Generalized anxiety disorder during the perinatal period (pGAD) is highly prevalent and associated with adverse outcomes for both mother/birthing person (BP) and child. Yet, most treatment studies rely on researcher‐selected outcomes that may not reflect patient priorities.

Effects of gut microbiota on cognitive impairment in Parkinson’s disease: a comprehensive Mendelian randomization and case–control study

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
BackgroundIncreasing evidence suggests a potential role of the gut microbiota in Parkinson’s disease (PD). However, the relationship between the gut microbiome (GM) and PD dementia (PDD) remains debated, with their causal effects and underlying ...

Imagery rescripting for generalized anxiety disorder: A case series

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction This is the first clinical pilot to explore the feasibility, acceptability and preliminary efficacy of imagery rescripting in individuals with a diagnosis of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Methods Participants with GAD (N = 18) attended assessment and 10 weekly sessions of imagery rescripting with a psychologist in person or ...

LGM glaciation in the northern Dinaric Mountains, Slovenia: new insights from terrestrial cosmogenic nuclide dating and Parallel Ice Sheet Model simulation

open access: yesBoreas, EarlyView.
The Dinaric Mountains are a mountain range stretching NW–SE from the Alps to the Albanides–Hellenides in central Europe. The highest parts were occupied by small ice fields and/or valley glaciers during the Quaternary cold periods, while even today some small glaciers still exist in topoclimatically favourable areas.

Lewy bodies are surrounded by granulovacuolar degeneration bodies in dementia with Lewy bodies

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
Here, we report Lewy bodies (LBs) to be enriched for tau‐laden granulovacuolar degeneration bodies (GVBs), suggesting a potential mechanistic interface between α‐synuclein and tau pathology in dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB). Abstract Lewy bodies (LBs), composed primarily of aggregated α‐synuclein (α‐syn), are the pathological hallmark of Lewy body ...
