A role for epithelium‐derived 6‐nitrodopamine on human ureter contractility

Abstract Background and Purpose To investigate the basal release of 6‐nitrodopamine (6‐ND) from human isolated ureter and the role of this novel catecholamine in the ureter contractility. Experimental Approach Ureters from 67 brain‐dead organ donors (40 males and 27 females) were used during kidney transplantation procedures.

Computing Skinning Weights via Convex Duality

We present an alternate optimization method to compute bounded biharmonic skinning weights. Our method relies on a dual formulation, which can be optimized with a nonnegative linear least squares setup. Summary Background and Objectives Preventive tuberculosis (TB) therapy before initiating MTX or IL‐17/IL‐23/IL‐12/23p40 inhibitors for latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) is supported by indirect evidence of TB reactivations with TNF inhibitors. However, direct evidence for MTX or IL‐17/IL‐23/IL‐12/23p40 inhibitors is limited.

Functional divergence of protein kinase A regulatory subunit Iβ variants: the importance of N3A motifs in PKA regulation

The regulatory subunit RIβ of protein kinase A occurs in two variants that differ at residue 268 (A268 versus R268). This seemingly small substitution significantly changes cAMP sensitivity, basal kinase activity, and the dynamic behavior of the regulatory domains.
