Unveiling Endotypes in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Through Multiomic Analysis: Insights Into Cardiovascular and Renal Complications

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) shows clinical and molecular heterogeneity, and cardiovascular (CV) complications and lupus nephritis (LN) remain leading causes of morbidity and mortality. This study investigated whether omic profiling can reveal molecular endotypes linked to these outcomes.

Experiments on the carboxylase of pea roots [PDF]

open access: yes, 1941
It is known that vitamin B1 is a growth factor for numerous bacteria and fungi including the yeasts (see the summary in Koser and Saunders (1938)). It has also been demonstrated that vitamin B1 is essential for the growth of the isolated roots of higher ...

Halide perovskites in wide‐spectrum photodetection

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, EarlyView.
Recent advances in perovskite‐based photodetectors (PPDs), phototransistors, and photoconductors are technically discussed in this review. Moreover, the mechanism behind different harvesting processes in perovskite following the energy of photons is explained, where the gamma or x‐rays are ionizing.

Creating saponin‐free yellow pea seeds by CRISPR/Cas9‐enabled mutagenesis on β‐amyrin synthase

open access: yesPlant Direct
Dry pea (Pisum sativum) seeds are valuable sources of plant protein, dietary fiber, and starch, but their uses in food products are restricted to some extent due to several off‐flavor compounds.

Defect engineering for highly efficient and stable perovskite top cells for Si tandems

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, EarlyView.
Defect passivation in wide‐bandgap perovskites is essential for enabling high‐efficiency and stable perovskite/Si tandem solar cells. Bulk, surface, and buried‐interface passivation strategies focus on suppressing nonradiative recombination, ion migration, and halide segregation, thereby clarifying critical design principles for next‐generation tandem ...

Roles of 2D halide perovskites in 2D/3D heterojunctions for high‐performance perovskite solar cells

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, EarlyView.
This review establishes a design framework for two‐dimensional (2D)/three‐dimensional (3D) perovskite heterojunctions, redefining the 2D perovskite layer as an active semiconductor component. We classify 2D structures by spacer chemistry and analyze their roles within the heterojunction.

Density Estimates of Endangered Endemic Rodents Suggest Broader Impacts of Invasive Burmese Pythons Following a Category 4 Hurricane in the Florida Keys

open access: yesBiological Diversity, EarlyView.
Density estimates of two endangered rodent subspecies, endemic to Key Largo, Florida, USA. These findings illustrate the contrasting dynamics of two native species associated with the prevalence of invasive Burmese pythons and global change. The woodrats' decline emphasizes its potential risk of extinction as global change continues to impact island ...

Transcriptomic analysis of the symbiotic responsivity trait in pea (Pisum sativum L.)

open access: yesВавиловский журнал генетики и селекции
Pea (Pisum sativum L.) is an important crop culture and a model object for studying the molecular genetic bases of nitrogen-fixing symbiosis and arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM). Pea genotypes with high and low responsivity to inoculation with nodule bacteria (
