Viruses and viroids of peach trees.

2008
Abstract This chapter covers the economic importance, geographical distribution, symptoms, causal agents, diagnosis, epidemiology and management (such as through the production of virus-free planting materials and quarantine) of the following diseases/pathogens of peach: Sharka or plum pox (caused by Plum pox virus), Ilarviruses, Tomato ...

DURATION OF THE PHENOLOGICAL STAGES OF PEACH TREES AT TROPICSDuration of the phenological stages of peach trees at tropics

Scientia Horticulturae, 2020
Abstract This study aims to evaluate the duration of the phenological stages and determine the adaptability and stability of reproductive and vegetative phases of peach trees under tropics with the purpose of optimizing the production system. The experiment was set up in a randomized plot design with 23 cultivars (‘Aurora-1′, ‘Biuti’, ‘Bonao ...

PEACH: A simulation model of reproductive and vegetative growth in peach trees

Tree Physiology, 1994
The hypothesis that carbohydrate partitioning is driven by competition among individual plant organs, based on each organ's growth potential, was used to develop a simulation model of the carbon supply and demand for reproductive and vegetative growth in peach trees.

Pruning Peach Trees [PDF]

open access: possible, 2014
Discusses the importance of annual pruning to produce high yield and quality of peaches. Advises that the successful pruner should understand how the trees grow, and how the trees respond to pruning. Also cautions that improper pruning will lower yield and quality of fruit.

Improved Peach Tree Longevity with Use of Fenamiphos in Peach Tree Short-Life Locations

Plant Disease, 1989
Most rates and application schedules of fenamiphos improved tree longevity (P=0.05) compared with no postplant treatment. In two experiments, only one of 28 nontreated trees was productive by the ninth year, while several of the fenamiphos treatments resulted in 100% productive trees. In a third experiment, the percent of productive trees depended upon
