Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Correlation functions and emission time sequence of light charged particles from projectile-like fragment source in E/A = 44 and 77 MeV 40Ar + 27Al collisions

open access: yes, 2004
Two-particle correlation functions, involving protons, deuterons, tritons, and alpha-particles, have been measured at very forward angles (0.7 deg < theta_lab < 7 deg), in order to study projectile-like fragment (PLF) emission in E/A = 44 and 77 MeV 40Ar

Delineating rockmass damage zones in blasting from in-field seismic velocity and peak particle velocity measurement

open access: yesInternational Journal of Engineering, Science and Technology, 2011
Damage to the surrounding rock during blasting either in underground or surface excavation, is a growing concern today. It has been found that the integrity of rockmass is reduced significantly from pre to post blast condition due to disregard paid to the surrounding rockmass.

dUTPase is essential in zebrafish development and possesses several single‐nucleotide variants with pronounced structural and functional consequences

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Monitoring of train-induced vibrations on rock slopes

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2017
Train-induced vibrations will undoubtedly influence the stability of slopes near railway lines. To monitor the effects of such vibrations on slope stability, a wirelessly networked vibration test system was established, which included wirelessly ...

Shock and Spallation Behavior of a Compositionally Complex High-Strength Low-Alloy Steel under Different Impact Stresses

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
The shock and spalling behavior of a compositionally complex high strength low-alloy steel (HSLA) was studied using plate impact testing. The free surface velocity of the specimen in the range of 194~938 m/s was measured by a displacement interferometer ...

Local Melting and Drag for a Particle Driven Through a Colloidal Crystal

open access: yes, 2003
We numerically investigate a colloidal particle driven through a colloidal crystal as a function of temperature. When the charge of the driven particle is larger or comparable to that of the colloids comprising the crystal, a local melting can occur ...

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PEAK PARTICLE VELOCITY AND VIBRATION LEVEL ON BLAST VIBRATION

open access: yesDoboku Gakkai Ronbunshu, 2000

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Rebound Characteristics of Wet-Shotcrete Particle Flow Jet from Wall Based on CFD-DEM

open access: yesBuildings
This paper aims to reveal the motion law and collision behaviors of shotcrete particle flow jets. A physical model of the jet flow field composed of a nozzle structure and jet area was constructed and meshes with various sizes were used to mesh the ...
