Peak-to-Average Power Ratio of OTFS Modulation

IEEE Communications Letters, 2019
In this letter, we analyze the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of orthogonal time frequency space modulation (OTFS) waveform. Towards this, we consider modulation symbols on an $N\times M$ delay-Doppler grid, where $N$ and $M$ are the number of Doppler and delay bins, respectively.

Peak-to-average power ratio versus instantaneous-to-average power ratio for OFDM

2008 42nd Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2008
In the literature, peak-to-average power ratio (PAR) is often used as an indicator for the dynamic range of OFDM signals. PAR is an extreme value statistic and can present an overly pessimistic view of the signal. Instantaneous-to-average power ratio (IAR), on the other hand, reflects more accurately the characteristics of the sample population.

Peak-To-Average Power Ratio Reduction by Zero Forcing Peaks

2006 IEEE International Multitopic Conference, 2006
One of main drawback of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is high peak to average power ratio (PAPR) which causes non-linearity at power amplifier stage. In this paper a new technique for reducing PAPR of the OFDM signal is implemented. This method does not spread the OFDM signal bandwidth and no additional IFFT has to be performed thus

Peak-to-average power ratio reduction of FDRM

2005 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems, 2005
Frequency Domain Reciprocal Modulation (FDRM), originally developed by T. D. Williams [1, 2], is an enhanced method of modulation to complement Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) techniques. FORM was proposed to solve the problem of very fast dynamic multipath distortion in wireless communication environments.

Peak to Average Power Ratio sensor for green Cognitive Radio

21st Annual IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2010
High Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) is a critical issue in multi-standard and multi-carrier communication systems. This problem can result in large performance degradation due to the non-linearity of the High Power Amplifier (HPA) or in low power efficiency.

Calculation of peak-to-average power ratio in DVB-T

47th International Symposium ELMAR, 2005., 2005
Extremely high peak power values are the major problem in digital terrestrial television (DVB-T). They are caused by multi-carrier modulation COFDM (Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex). This paper contains analysis of this problem from the aspect of theoretical peak power maximum and statistical analysis of the problem where DVB-T parameters
