Activated carbon-based pomegranate peels as an efficient removal method for carbamazepine
Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, 2023Pharmaceutical products found in wastewater and various water systems have become an environmental concern. Various processes were developed to remove various pharmaceuticals, including adsorption processes utilizing activated carbon adsorbents derived from agricultural wastes.

Efficient depth peeling via bucket sort
Proceedings of the Conference on High Performance Graphics 2009, 2009In this paper we present an efficient algorithm for multi-layer depth peeling via bucket sort of fragments on GPU, which makes it possible to capture up to 32 layers simultaneously with correct depth ordering in a single geometry pass. We exploit multiple render targets (MRT) as storage and construct a bucket array of size 32 per pixel.

IMPROVING THE EFFICIENCY OF TECHNOLOGICAL EQUIPMENT FOR PEELING CEREAL CROPS
Scientific Life, 2021One of the means of increasing the efficiency of the process equipment may be non-standard use of known technical elements. Modern peeling machines operate using compression and shear, single or multiple impact, continuous abrasion of the casings.

We investigated the potential application of potato peel biochar (PPB) for the adsorption and immobilization of heavy metals (Cd, Pb, and Ni) in contaminated acidic soil. The addition of PPB to the soil, especially at the application rate of 8%, increased soil pH, cation exchange capacity (CEC), and organic carbon (OC).

Direct and efficient liquefaction of potato peel into bio-oil
Environmental Chemistry Letters, 2017The world has become dependent on petroleum as a feedstock for most products that we use in our daily lives. As an alternative, bio-refineries that transform biomass into biofuels and primary chemicals are emerging. Actually, many wastes are not fully recycled. For instance, potato peel is a cheap residue available from the potato industry.

A pedigree-based algorithm for finding efficient peeling sequences
Mathematical Medicine and Biology, 1995The computational cost, in terms of both storage requirements and calculation required, of performing an elimination ordering on a graph is considered as a function of the order in which the vertices of the moral graph are eliminated. Useful properties of the moral graph of a pedigree with respect to vertex elimination are observed and these properties

Effect of Fruit Maturity and Nitrogen Fertilizer Levels on Tomato Peeling Efficiency
International Journal of Vegetable Science, 1999ABSTRACT Three tomato cultivars (cvs. P696, OH8245 and SO12) were grown at four nitrogen fertilizer levels (0, 50, 100 and 150 lbs N/acre) and harvested on three harvest dates for each of three years. The effect of fertilizer level and maturity on peelability, yield, color, soluble solids, pH and titratable acidity was determined.

INFLUENCE OF SELECTED FACTORS ON EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF A PEELING MACHINE FOR CHESTNUT
Acta Horticulturae, 2010The process of peeling is a key factor in development of a chestnut industry. A peeled chestnut provides convenience as well as opportunity for value-added products, and thus expanded markets and utilization. It is important to take the peeling effectiveness and peeling yield into account during the varietal selection. Several home remedy techniques as
