Peer-to-peer energy trading based on a hybrid blockchain system

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2023
The emergence of distributed energy and prosumers has greatly promoted the reform of the energy market. Blockchain technology provides a very potent solution for distributed energy transactions, however, blockchain technology still develops slowly in the

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Peer-to-Peer Semantic Wikis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper presents SWOOKI the first peer-to-peer semantic wiki. A P2P semantic wiki combines advantages of both semantic wikis and P2P Wikis. A P2P semantic wiki network is composed of a set of interconnected autonomous servers that can dynamically join and leave the network.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Detection of P2P Botnets Based on Support Vector Machine: Case Study [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2014
Botnet is a general term referring to a group of automated software robots that run without human intervention (malware code). Nowadays, Botnets produces a major threat to the cyber security (Information Assurance) of computing assets.

Symmetric and Synchronous Communication in Peer-to-Peer Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Motivated by distributed implementations of game-theoretical algorithms, we study symmetric process systems and the problem of attaining common knowledge between processes.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

GPU peer-to-peer techniques applied to a cluster interconnect

open access: yes, 2013
Modern GPUs support special protocols to exchange data directly across the PCI Express bus. While these protocols could be used to reduce GPU data transmission times, basically by avoiding staging to host memory, they require specific hardware features ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
