Sums of Pell/Lucas Polynomials and Fibonacci/Lucas Numbers
Seven infinite series involving two free variables and central binomial coefficients (in denominators) are explicitly evaluated in closed form. Several identities regarding Pell/Lucas polynomials and Fibonacci/Lucas numbers are presented as consequences.

Analysing policy success and failure in Australia: Pink batts and set‐top boxes
Abstract This article examines two Australian government programs from the Rudd/Gillard Labor government, the Home Insulation Program (HIP) and the Digital Switchover Household Assistance Scheme (HAS). Both became shibboleths of the Labor government's perceived waste and incompetence.

New Results on Negative-Indexed Pell Numbers via Matrix Methods
In this study, we investigate the Pell and Pell–Lucas numbers sequences and construct matrices whose elements are defined using negative indices of these sequences through Binet’s formula. Identities involving negative-indexed Pell and Pell–Lucas numbers

Fascinating Number Sequences from Fourth Order Difference Equation Via Quaternion Algebras
The balancing and Lucas-balancing numbers are solutions of second order recurrence relations. A linear combination of these numbers can also be obtained as solutions of a fourth order recurrence relation.

Abstract As the numbers of autistic children attending school in Ireland increases, there is a growing reliance on specialised provision. Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are considered fundamental to this type of educational provision. However, emerging evidence from the Irish context reveals substantial shortcomings in the IEP process. Of particular

Floor and ceiling functions for Pell numbers [PDF]
The analytical study of the Pell number and the role of floor and ceiling functions into their computation is examined. Closed expressions of Pell numbers were initially derived using Binet's formula, followed by an asymptotic behavior study of the ...

A NOTE ON BIGAUSSIAN PELL AND PELL-LUCAS NUMBERS
In this study, we define a new type of Pell and Pell-Lucas numbers which are called biGaussian Pell and biGaussian Pell-Lucas numbers. We also give the relationship between negabiGaussian Pell and Pell-Lucas numbers and bicomplex Pell and Pell-Lucas numbers.

The level of aggressiveness of an individual is a factor that shapes intraguild predation (IGP) interactions. In Nabis americoferus, high aggressiveness leads to an increase in attack rate and IGP against Harmonia axyridis. Moreover, the absence of extraguild prey seems to exacerbate IGP. In docile N.
