Investigation of Steam Treatment on the Sorption Behavior of Rice Straw Pellets
Agricultural residue is a readily available biomass source for making biofuels. However, complex structure along with low calorific value makes it reluctant to be utilized. This necessitates the pretreatment of biomass to improve its accessibility.

Feed and renewable sources of energy [PDF]
In order to produce significant amounts of pellets of maize plants, it is necessary to completely industrialise pellet production (biofuel, feed). ZP hybrids evenly mature, i.e.

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Torrefaction of Spruce, Beech, and Oak Pellets in Order to Improve Calorific Value
Native spruce, beech, and oak pellets were treated by torrefaction. The torrefaction was performed without oxygen, in an electric oven, at temperatures of 170 °C, 190 °C, and 210 °C and treatment periods of 1, 2, and 3 h.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.
