Effect of pelleted total mixed rations with different levels of intact rapeseed on performance, carcass traits, serum biochemical indices and meat quality of Boer goats

Animal Production Science, 2018
The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of intact rapeseed (IR) supplementation in goat total mixed ration (TMR) pellets on performance, carcass traits, serum biochemical indices and meat quality. Forty-eight healthy Boer goats with similar initial bodyweight (12.52 ± 1.48 kg) were randomly assigned to four treatment groups, dietary ...

Effect of pretreatment and pelletization on nutritive value of rice straw-based total mixed ration, and growth performance and meat quality of growing Boer goats fed on TMR

Small Ruminant Research, 2005
Abstract This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of pretreatment and pelletization on nutritive value of rice straw-based total mixed ration (TMR) (Trial 1), and to investigate growth performance, carcass traits and meat quality of growing Boer goats fed on the TMR.

GROWTH PERFORMANCE OF RABBITS (Oryctolagus cuniculus) FED WITH PELLETED BANANA CORN-BASED TOTAL MIXED RATION

Journal of Science Innovation and Technology
The study was performed to determine the growth of rabbits in the evaluation of the physical properties of pellets, palatability test, and the feeding trial. Feeds were formulated using banana corm and other feedstuffs, with molasses and rice middlings as binders. Nine rabbits were used to test the acceptability of feeds for14 days.

The response of Barbarine lambs to barley straw and concentrate, when distributed separately or as a total mixed ration in bulk or in pellet form: Diet intake, nutrient digestibility, nitrogen balance, microbial nitrogen supply, ruminal fermentation, growth performance and economic profitability

Highlights• Three diet distribution methods were compared on feedlot lambs.• Pelletizing the total mixed ration (PTMR) improved the nitrogen value of the diet.• Lambs fed with PTMR grew faster than those fed with total mixed ration in bulk (BTMR).• In the absence of forage chopping and pelleting machines, the growth rate of Barbarine lamb fed non ...
