Genomic structure, expression, and functional characterization of checkpoint kinase 1 from Penaeus monodon. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
Chk1 is a cell-cycle regulator. Chk1 has been identified in organisms ranging from yeast to humans, but few researchers have studied Chk1 in shrimps. We cloned Chk1 from the black tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon).

White Spot Disease in Black Tiger Shrimp (Penaeus Monodon Fab.) : Infection of White Spot Virus at 20, 100 and 200 uG/Ml by Dipping Method within 120 Minutes Exposure Time

open access: yesJurnal Akuakultur Indonesia, 2003
An infection trial of white spot disease on tiger shrimp was conducted by water borne inoculation with the different of  viral concentration. The result showed that the viral concentration influenced the appearance of white spot specific lesion ...

Revealing the Diverse Allergenic Protein Repertoire of Six Widely Consumed Crab Species: A Species‐Specific Allergen in King Crab

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
This study comprehended the allergen profiles of six edible crab species using proteomic and transcriptomic analyses and identified 11 putative allergens. King crab has a distinct protein and allergen profile, with the discovery of malate dehydrogenase as a novel king crab‐specific allergen registered as Para c 11.

Genomic structure, expression pattern, and functional characterization of transcription factor E2F-2 from black tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon). [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
Transcription factor E2F-2 is a regulator of cell cycle. Researchers identified E2F-2 genes from yeasts to humans, but few reports investigated E2F-2 gene from black tiger shrimp.

Molecular Phylogeny, Species Delimitation, and Biogeography of the Varunid Crab Genus Metaplax (Crustacea, Varunidae)

open access: yesZoologica Scripta, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Indo‐West Pacific genus Metaplax comprises 11 recognised species inhabiting intertidal mudflats, some adjacent to mangroves. To resolve long‐standing uncertainties, we analysed mitochondrial (COI, 16S) and nuclear (28S) markers. Phylogenetic analyses recovered Metaplax as monophyletic and resolved four well‐supported clades—the M ...

A Systematic Review of Biofloc Technology and Periphyton in Giant Freshwater Prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) Aquaculture

open access: yesAquaculture, Fish and Fisheries, Volume 6, Issue 2, April 2026.
Biofloc technology and periphyton‐based systems enhance the sustainable production of giant freshwater prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii). A PRISMA‐guided review (2005 – 2024) shows that BFT improves survival (75 – 78 %) and feed efficiency, while periphyton supports natural productivity in grow‐out.

Chaetoceros ceratosporum Diatomae in Feed Formula To Increase Growth and Post Larvae Immunity of Tiger Shrimp (Penaeus monodon Fab.) to Vibrio harveyi infection

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Life Science, 2013
This experiment aims to determine the effect and the best dose of Chaetoceros ceratosporum diatomae utilization in feed formula for post larvae of tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon Fab.) growth and immunity to Vibrio harveyi infection.

A new insight to biomarkers related to resistance in survived-white spot syndrome virus challenged giant tiger shrimp, Penaeus monodon [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ, 2019
The emergence of diseases such as white spot disease has become a threat to Penaeus monodon cultivation. Although there have been a few studies utilizing RNA-Seq, the cellular processes of host-virus interaction in this species remain mostly anonymous ...
