Advances in cholesterol and lipoproteins detection for healthcare: A review

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Cholesterol is one of the main biomarkers related to the development of cardiovascular diseases. Its detection still relies on traditional methods of analysis, such as gas and liquid chromatographies. Detection of free cholesterol in saliva with redox or enzymatic sensors or detection of lipoproteins in blood with aptamer sensors are currently the most

Flow Injection Analysis of Sulfide at a Calmagite-Modified Pencil Graphite Electrode

open access: yesAnalytical Letters, 2017
ABSTRACTIn this study, a new approach is proposed for low cost, sensitive, rapid, and selective detection of sulfide based on its electrocatalytic oxidation at a calmagite-modified pencil graphite electrode. The calmagite-modified pencil graphite electrode was prepared through electropolymerization in which five successive cyclic voltammograms of 0.10 ...

Voltammetric Studies of Nitrate Reduction at Boron‐Doped Diamond Thin‐Film Electrodes of Different Microstructure

open access: yesElectroanalysis, Volume 38, Issue 5, May 2026.
The electrochemical reduction of nitrate at polycrystalline boron‐doped diamond (BDD) electrodes using three different microstructures was studied. The reduction of nitrate proceeded similarly on the three BDD electrode types in terms of onset and peak potentials in 0.1 M Na2SO4.
