Thyroidal Iodoproteins in Pendred's Syndrome
The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, 1968ABSTRACT The distribution of 127I, 125I, or 131I, and protein was studied in thyroid tissue from 3 patients with Pendred's syndrome. In each of these patients a significant amount of trapped iodide was dischargeable after administration of perchlorate. Two specimens (nodular and paranodular tissue) were studied from each patient.

Thyroid carcinoma in Pendred's syndrome
The Journal of Laryngology & Otology, 1978A case of Pendred's syndrome is reported. One year after subtotal removal of a simple adenomatous colloid goitre, the patient presented with a follicular thyroid carcinoma with invasive growth through the capsule into the surrounding muscular tissue and vascular invasion.

Pendred's Syndrome with Atypical Features
Annals of Otology, Rhinology & Laryngology, 1980One of seven cases of Pendred's syndrome studied had mixed hearing loss, bilateral congenital stapes foot-plate fixation, surgically proven unilateral perilymph fistula and delayed fluctuating hearing loss in the unoperated ear. A unifying hypothesis is proposed to link these diversified findings.
