Open-Ended Coaxial Dielectric Probe Effective Penetration Depth Determination
We have performed a series of experiments, which demonstrate the effect of open-ended coaxial diameter on the depth of penetration. We used a two-layer configuration of a liquid and movable cylindrical piece of either Teflon or acrylic.

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

Micro-CT assessment of sealant penetration in different types of fissures in primary molars [PDF]
Introduction: Sealants prevent the development of dental caries by forming a protective barrier that reduces bacterial growth and food retention. The morphology of the pits and fissures and the material of the sealant can affect the depth to which it ...

There’s plenty of light at the bottom: statistics of photon penetration depth in random media
We propose a comprehensive statistical approach describing the penetration depth of light in random media. The presented theory exploits the concept of probability density function f(z|ρ, t) for the maximum depth reached by the photons that are ...
