[Pentosephosphate shunt enzymatic activity in the liver in its disordered innervation].

Ukrains'kyi biokhimichnyi zhurnal, 1976
Partial denervation of the liver evoked the dissection of subphrenic vagus nerves and nerves of the hepatogastric duodenal ligament tissue stimulates synthesis of pentoses in the liver due to the oxidative mechanism and inhibits the process of unoxidative formation of pentoses.

[Enzymes of the pentosephosphate pathway in the tissues of cyclostomes at different stages of ontogenesis].

Zhurnal evoliutsionnoi biokhimii i fiziologii, 1979
Studies have been made on the activity of the enzymes of pentose phosphate shunt in the heart, liver and somatic muscles of two lamprey species, Lampetra fluviatilis and L. planeri, at various stages of ontogenesis. It was shown that the activity of these enzymes in larval tissues is significantly higher than in adult lampreys.

[Effect of ether anesthesia on pentosephosphate cycle dehydrogenase activity in different parts of the brain].

Farmakologiia i toksikologiia, 1978
Investigations carried out on 19 dogs demonstrated that under ether anesthesia and with the anesthetic concentration in the arterial blood of 126.4 +/- 15.4 mg% the activity of the glucose-6-phosphate and 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenases in the optic and auditory areas of the brain cortex as well as in the median thalamus experiences no significant ...

[Circadian rhythm of the activity of limiting enzymes of the pentosephosphate pathway in rat liver].

Voprosy meditsinskoi khimii, 1978
Activities of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and transketolase from rat liver tissue exhibited circadian rhythms with the maximal rate at 22 and 6 o'clock and minimal--at 14 o'clock (per 1 mg of liver protein and per 1 g of the tissue). Decrease in total activity of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase at the day time was due to distinctly lowered ...

[Dehydrogenase activity of the pentosephosphate pathway of carbohydrate oxidation and its interrelation with lipid metabolism in hypokinesia].

Kosmicheskaia biologiia i aviakosmicheskaia meditsina, 1981
The experiments were carried out on 84 white rats. At the beginning of hypokinesia activity of glucose-6-phosphate and 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenases in the adipose tissue was decreased and in the liver, skeletal muscles and heart increased. On the 30th hypokinetic day the enzyme activity was nearly normal.

[Effect of aggregating agents on the pentosephosphate pathway of carbohydrate metabolism in human blood platelet extracts].

Farmakologiia i toksikologiia, 1983
Thrombin inhibits the rate of glucose-6-phosphate and 6-phosphogluconate oxidation. ADP decreases the incorporation of ribose-5-phosphate into metabolism. The effect of adrenaline on the pentose phosphate pathway reactions was not demonstrated. Cell destruction by means of freezing, thawing and treatment with Triton X-100 decreases the rate of the ...

[Interaction of the pentosephosphate cycle and nucleic acid metabolism during the healing of experimental fractures].

Voprosy meditsinskoi khimii, 1984
In healing of rat femur fracture activity of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and total content of nucleic acids were increased in callus, reaching the maximal value within 1 week after the fracture and decreased down to the level observed in intact controls within 10-15 weeks.

[Effect of antipheins on indices of the activity of the pentosephosphate pathway for carbohydrate transformation].

Farmakologiia i toksikologiia, 1977
Experiments set up on rabbits showed that with their intravenous administration in a dose of 10 mg/kg antiphein, aethimizol, allilnorantipheins and propylnorantiphein catalize the activity of the pentosophosphate mode of the carbohydrates transformation.
