Porous Organic Polymers: From Molecular Design to Scalable Technologies

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This review introduces porous organic polymers (POPs) for a wide range of applications, including energy storage, gas adsorption, catalysts, adsorbents, biomedical applications, sensors, and other exciting fields, and critically analyzes the synthesis and modification, and how structural topology influences the composites' architecture of POPs, along ...

Polyoxyethylene (PEO)|PEO–Perovskite|PEO Composite Electrolyte for All-Solid-State Lithium Metal Batteries

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2019
Composite solid electrolytes (CSEs) are regarded as one of the most promising candidates for all-solid-state lithium metal batteries (ASSLMBs) due to inherited desirable features from both ceramic and polymer materials. However, poor interfacial contact/compatibility between the electrodes and solid electrolytes remains a critical challenge.

Electron transfer of PEO-modified cytochrome c in PEO oligomers

Solid State Ionics, 1996
Abstract Horse heart cytochrome c (cyt.c) was modified with poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) to solubilize it in PEO oligomers. The electrochemical redox reaction of PEO-modified cyt.c (PEO-cyt.c) was analyzed with visible spectrometry in PEO200 (average molecular weight of 200) containing 0.5 mol · 1 −1 KC1 as an electrolyte. Although the PEO-cyt.c showed

Surface grafting thermoresponsive PEO-PPO-PEO chains

Journal of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, 2010
The objective of this study was to engineer surfaces comprising covalently bound polyethylene oxide-polypropylene oxide-polyethylene oxide (PEO-PPO-PEO) chains, able to coil and uncoil in aqueous media, as a function of temperature. Thermoresponsive surfaces can be used in diverse areas, such as tissue engineering and 'on-command' drug delivery.
