Phenothiazine Dimer as Efficient and Recyclable p‐Type Organic Positive Electrode Material for Anion‐Ion and Dual‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, EarlyView.
Here, A series of phenothiazine dimer has been used as positive electrode materials for dual‐ion or anion‐ion battery. Beside its good performances (100 mAh.g−1, 3.6V/Li), its specific design allows the recycling of the active material by simple dissolution in a organic solvent.

Fluorine‐Free Lithium‐Ion Batteries: A Working Alternative

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, EarlyView.
Current lithium ion batteries contain fluorinated electrolytes and binders to enhance their stability over time. However, these fluorinated materials also pose ecological risks during manufacturing, disposal and recycling after use. In this perspective the comparison of completely fluorine‐free working battery designs and fluorinated designs shows that

Designing Recyclable Electrolytes for Lithium‐Ion and Next‐Generation Energy Storage Devices

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, EarlyView.
This perspective aims to provide guidelines for designing electrolytes compatible with simple and sustainable recycling methods. Special emphasis is placed on the formulation of hydrolysis‐resistant electrolytes, which not only simplifies the whole recycling process but also enables simultaneous electrode/electrolyte recovery.

Fluorinated Guanidino‐Polyamine Conjugates With Ribonuclease Activity – Toward a Therapeutic Tool for Multi‐Drug Therapy

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
This study presents a first‐in‐class demonstration of polymeric cationic gene delivery vectors that exhibit intrinsic artificial ribonuclease activity. Based on low‐generation PAMAM dendrimers and low molecular weight PEI polymers functionalized with a fluorinated linker containing a guanidino group, our conjugates simultaneously enable gene ...

Photoinduced Electron Transfer (PET) as Key to Accelerate the Cycloreversion Reaction of Arylquadricyclanes

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
It is demonstrated that the photoinduced cycloreversion of a methoxynaphthylquadricyclane in the presence of suitable photocatalysts gives quantitatively the corresponding norbornadiene. As this photochromic norbornadiene‐quadricyclane cycle has favorable properties for light energy conversion, this method provides a useful tool for the targeted ...

Dracorhodin perchlorate induces apoptosis in bladder cancer cells through Bcl-2, Bcl-XL, survivin down-regulation and caspase-3 activation

open access: yesBangladesh Journal of Pharmacology, 2013
Urinary bladder cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed urological malignancies worldwide. Dracorhodin perchlorate, anthocyanin red pigment, has been recently shown to induce apoptotic cell death in several types of cancer cells.
