When Poor Exciton Dissociation Limits Photocurrents in Organic Solar Cells: Why Low Offset Non‐Fullerene Acceptor Blends Can't Be Efficient

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The energetic offset between the donor and the acceptor components in organic photoactive layers is central to the tradeoff between photovoltage and photocurrent losses. This Perspective covers the most important issues surrounding this topic in non‐fullerene acceptor blends, from the difficulty of accurately determining state energies and driving ...

Unlocking Terahertz Steganography: Authentication of Hidden Images in Flexible Media

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Hidden information in multilayered devices, such as steganographic portraits, is detected and authenticated using reflection‐mode terahertz time‐domain imaging. Image reconstruction relies on a dedicated figure‐of‐merit obtained by integrating the signal intensity over the time‐window associated with the reflection from the metallic mirror backing the ...

Low-complexity trellis decoding of linear block codes. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
The authors introduce a new simple encoding technique which allows the design of a wide variety of linear block codes. They present a number of examples in which the most widely used codes (Reed-Muller, Hamming, Golay, optimum etc.) have been designed ...

Infinite families of perfect binary arrays

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1988
The author constructs four infinite families of perfect binary arrays. Jedwab and Mitchell have constructed some small perfect binary arrays using quasiperfect binary arrays and doubly quasiperfect binary arrays. The author shows that a doubly quasi-perfect binary array is equivalent to a quasiperfect binary array.

TacScope: A Miniaturized Vision‐Based Tactile Sensor for Surgical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
TacScope is a compact, vision‐based tactile sensor designed for robot‐assisted surgery. By leveraging a curved elastomer surface with pressure‐sensitive particle redistribution, it captures high‐resolution 3D tactile feedback. TacScope enables accurate tumor detection and shape classification beneath soft tissue phantoms, offering a scalable, low‐cost ...

Nearly perfect binary codes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1972
A class of binary codes, satisfying the equality in a specialized version of the Johnson bound, is introduced, which contains perfect codes and the Preparata 2-error correcting codes.

A Self‐Healing Permanent Magnet Putty for Soft Robot Skins With Force Sensing and Functional Recovery

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Permanent magnet putty (PMP) integrates high‐coercivity NdFeB particles with a dynamic polyborosiloxane–Ecoflex matrix, achieving rapid self‐healing (90% mechanical recovery in 10 s) and magnetic recovery within 20 min. With twice the sensitivity of commercial putties, PMP enables precise 5–30 N force detection and discrimination between pressing and ...

The dark core and honesty-humility: (nearly) perfectly correlated yet distinct constructs. A proof by comparing their relations with self-reported revengefulness

open access: yesCurrent Issues in Personality Psychology
Background The traits constituting the Dark Triad (i.e., narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy) are expected to share a common dark core (i.e., antisocial attitudes towards others).
