Intelligent Maintenance Review for Robots: Multimodal Information, Deep Diagnosis and Embodied Artificial Intelligence

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This review maps the methods to monitor robots’ health by fusing vibration, sound, control signals, vision, force, and oil information with artificial intelligence. It identifies deep learning, transfer learning, digital twins, and physics‐informed models as key methodological pathways enabling earlier diagnosis, safer human–robot collaboration, and ...

Analysis and Design of a Hybrid Graphene/Vanadium-Dioxide Terahertz Metasurface with Independently Reconfigurable Reflection Phase and Magnitude

open access: yesPhotonics
A reconfigurable THz metasurface (MS) capable of independent reflection amplitude and phase modulation is designed and analyzed. The tunability is achieved in a simple few-layer structure by control over the chemical potential of a graphene monolayer ...

Comment: Existence of one-dimensional perfect binary arrays

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1988
For the original article see ibid., vol.23, no.24, p.1277-8 (1987). In a recent letter Y.Y. Xian claims to have proved that the only perfect binary sequence has length four. The commenter maintains that this proof is incorrect. He explains why this is so and constructs a counterexample to support his case.

Autonomous Navigation of Pollen‐Inspired Magnetic Microrobots for Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A sunflower pollen‐inspired magnetic microrobot enables controlled rolling navigation in vessel‐like environments. Its open geometry reduces hydrodynamic drag, while vision‐based closed‐loop control, shortest‐path planning, and reinforcement learning support target‐reaching and maze navigation with microrobot‐scale accuracy, highlighting a route toward

A secret image sharing scheme based on array codes

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2016
:In order to construct a Perfect and Ideal image threshold secret sharing scheme (Complete Scheme) and improve sharing efficiency, a novel secret image sharing complete scheme based on array codes with a (t, n) threshold structure was proposed.

Probing superfluidity with quantum vortex necklaces and Leggett's bounds

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
We theoretically investigate a binary Bose-Einstein condensate in which the majority component hosts a vortex necklace, whose vortex cores act as moving effective potential wells for the minority component.

Type‐II Dirac Fermions in Monolayer In2O: Interplay of Magnetotransport, Spin Hall Effect, and Superconductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
First‐principles calculations reveal that monolayer In2O${\rm In}_2{\rm O}$ hosts type‐II Dirac fermions near the Fermi level, which split into Weyl points under spin‐orbit coupling. The material exhibits negative and giant magnetoresistance, a pronounced spin Hall effect, and phonon‐mediated superconductivity at 1.5 K, establishing it as a unique ...

Functional Disorder at the Neural Interface: How Disordered Nanostructures Promote Proper Growth and Differentiation in In Vitro Neural Cultures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work provides a practical guide for neuroengineers to design advanced neural interfaces, embracing and tailoring the concept of functional disorder. By bridging 2D and 3D in vitro models, this work highlights how non‐periodic, spatially heterogeneous, multiscale nanotopography can enable more physiologically relevant platforms for studying neural ...

Existence of one-dimensional perfect binary arrays

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1987
The close relationship between perfect binary arrays and higher-dimensional Hadamard matrices is determined in the letter. With this relationship we have proved that there exists no one-dimensional perfect binary array with energy greater than four. We conjecture that this relationship may be helpful for the study of other higher-dimensional perfect ...

Intersections of perfect binary codes

open access: yes, 2010
Intersections of perfect binary codes are investigated. In 1998 Etzion and Vardy proved that the intersection number η(C;D), for any two distinct perfect codes C and D, is always in the range 0 ≤η(C;D) ≤2 n-log(n+1)-2(n-1)/2; where the upper bound is ...
