Perfect and Imperfect Duty: Unpacking Kant's Complex Distinction [PDF]
I attempt first to disentangle three aspects of Kant’s distinction between perfect and imperfect duty. There is the central distinction between principles of duty contrary to that which is contradictory in conception/consistent in conception but ...

Nonexistence of perfect binary arrays
New nonexistence results are deduced for perfect binary arrays from theorems of Turyn on difference sets. It is shown that this rules out 17 undecided cases from the recent table of Chan and Siu for the two-dimensional case.

The energetic offset between the donor and the acceptor components in organic photoactive layers is central to the tradeoff between photovoltage and photocurrent losses. This Perspective covers the most important issues surrounding this topic in non‐fullerene acceptor blends, from the difficulty of accurately determining state energies and driving ...

Perfect binary codes: bounds and properties [PDF]
Some nontrivial properties of perfect binary codes are discussed. We consider some constructions of perfect binary codes with the purpose to outline bounds on the number of nonequivalent perfect binary codes and we present the best known lower and upper ...

Unlocking Terahertz Steganography: Authentication of Hidden Images in Flexible Media
Hidden information in multilayered devices, such as steganographic portraits, is detected and authenticated using reflection‐mode terahertz time‐domain imaging. Image reconstruction relies on a dedicated figure‐of‐merit obtained by integrating the signal intensity over the time‐window associated with the reflection from the metallic mirror backing the ...

TacScope: A Miniaturized Vision‐Based Tactile Sensor for Surgical Applications
TacScope is a compact, vision‐based tactile sensor designed for robot‐assisted surgery. By leveraging a curved elastomer surface with pressure‐sensitive particle redistribution, it captures high‐resolution 3D tactile feedback. TacScope enables accurate tumor detection and shape classification beneath soft tissue phantoms, offering a scalable, low‐cost ...

Infinite families of perfect binary arrays
The author constructs four infinite families of perfect binary arrays. Jedwab and Mitchell have constructed some small perfect binary arrays using quasiperfect binary arrays and doubly quasiperfect binary arrays. The author shows that a doubly quasi-perfect binary array is equivalent to a quasiperfect binary array.

Permanent magnet putty (PMP) integrates high‐coercivity NdFeB particles with a dynamic polyborosiloxane–Ecoflex matrix, achieving rapid self‐healing (90% mechanical recovery in 10 s) and magnetic recovery within 20 min. With twice the sensitivity of commercial putties, PMP enables precise 5–30 N force detection and discrimination between pressing and ...

Nested perfect toroidal arrays
We introduce two-dimensional toroidal arrays that are a variant of the de Bruijn tori. We call them nested perfect toroidal arrays. Instead of asking that every array of a given size has exactly one occurrence, we partition the positions in congruence ...
